Please could you take a look at my portfolio and let me know either by comment or by posting in the thread which to delete and your reasons why?

I need informed opinions as I want to have a good quality portfolio but find it hard to judge my own work. Be as honest as you like. I want to remove my weakest images and just have a selection of images that show off my best work.

The one thing that strikes me about your portfolio, which is dedicated to portrait photography, is an apparent lack of spontaneity. I accept that most people regard portraiture as a very posed/staged experience, but it also tends to give a very predictable, dated result. The image of Candice (although having slight focussing issues) is probably the nearest to what I would describe as spontaneous and more likely to draw in the viewer. I am not suggesting a more dynamic photo-journalistic style, but something that suggests a more informal and intimate engagement with the sitter.

Thanks very much Ken I see that now and completely agree with you, I will try and get some more intimate, spontaneous images. Something more natural and less posed.
