Eye-Fi cards....are they any good?

Strange your slow speeds - I have a 8GB PRo X2 card and use it with a 5D mk3 with RAW to CF and Highest JPG's to SD card. They transfer to my iPad Classic (or better known as 1st gen) in 3-5 secs. The first one may take 5-10 seconds while the link is setup but after that no problems.
The only problem I have notice is the drain on the battery - I can usually get 1200+ images from the battery (and often 1600+) but with the eye-fi card it drops to 600-800.
