You have images that aren't yet published, publish when you are ready by clicking 'Edit'.

The image upload function has two major flaws requiring fixes.

1) It uploads the image as soon as the image is selected rather that waiting for the user to finish editing accompanying details like image title or keywords and then actively commit to publishing the image.
2) There is no way to cancel the upload if, for example, the user mistakenly choses the wrong image to upload. Instead, the site generate the error message, "You have images that aren't yet published, publish when you are ready by clicking Edit". Aside from appalling sentance construction the word images has the hyperlink to the image edit page rather than the call to action, 'edit', carrying the hyperlink.

These defects, easily fixed, are frustrating!

Can honestly say i Have never had an issue with the uploading system, perhaps though creating a ticket would be a better solution

You can delete it if it was the wrong image.

You can publish it, if it wasn't, then edit it to add tags etc

I also feel that the "new images" date should be based on the date published rather than the date uploaded (which I think it is).

That the whole point of images not being published until you get to that additional step and click publish.

No one else will ever see it if you don't publish the image

I'm replying to the wrong thing. Ignore me!

When the two step process (upload, publish) came in I rather hoped it would mean that I could upload and tag a bunch of pictures in gone go, then drip feed them into the head of the recent images stream later in day.  Sadly it doesn't work that way.

I'd certainly vote for this little "feature" to be fixed.

This does work strangely, and has a least one bug.  I haven't manged to systematically isolate the problem but aborting the publish process for an image that has the "Show on recent uploads" box ticked sometimes spuriously causes this facility to be denied on other uploaded images that were clearly published more than 15 minutes apart.

The date and time or upload is applied not the date time of publishing. Truly speaking it would be better to have the date and time it is published.

I'd second that!

It definitely would I received a notification today of two images that were uploaded by a model 4 years ago but only published today.

indemnity totally! The ‘publish’ feature appears to have been an afterthought, so I guess the site was already set up to solely relate to upload date /time.

To be fair I reckon the intent was to ensure that the correct levels had been used and reduced nsfw images appearing as safe, the opportunity to correct tags etc then press go. Unfortunately it probably wasn't a consideration that some might forget to press publish or change their mind and abandon posting the image, then some time later when highlighted, click the publish button.

A handy feature would be to be able to upload a few and the ability to upload automatically after the 15 min window and have up to date published date and time, not the bulk upload details.
