Ik ben voornamelijk gemotiveerd in studio model fotografie waarin ik vaak een combinatie van stijlen hanteer: glamour, fashion, naakt, lingerie. Doel is om mijzelf zoveel mogelijk te verbeteren om het hoogst haalbare resultaat te halen uit een fotosessie met mijn model. Het esthetische aspect is voor mij heel belangrijk. Er zijn een aantal fotografen die ik inspirerend vind, om er enkele te noemen: H. Newton, Marc LaGrange, Ellen Von Unwerth, Erwin Blumenfeld, Horst P. Horst, Steven Klein, Bettina Rheims etc. Inspiratie komt ook uit beeldende kunst, film enz.

Focus

Mijn focus is studio fotografie, me verplaatsen naar buitenlocaties, hoe mooi die ook zijn, vind ik eigenlijk teveel gedoe (ben ik misschien te lui voor). In de studio kun je met je studiolampen het licht naar je hand zetten. Ik heb niets tegen subtiel gebruik van Photoshop: een modelfoto mag van mij mooier zijn dan ‘de werkelijkheid’, graag zelfs.

Mijn model

Het contact tussen fotograaf en model is altijd bizonder is mijn ervaring, direct face-to-face, in een ontspannen sfeer waar ik naar streef, kan dit tot mooie creatieve resultaten leiden waarin model en fotograaf samenwerken.

Motivation

I’m mainly interested in studio model photography in which I combine several styles: glamour, fashion, nude, lingerie. My goal is to improve myself and to get the very best result from a photoshoot with my model. The aesthetic aspect is important to me. A number of well-known photographers have been (and still are) inspiring: H.Newton, Marc LaGrange, Ellen Von Unwerth, Erwin Blumenfeld, Horst P.Horst, Steven Klein, Bettina Rheims etc. Inspiration also derives from art, movies and so on.

Focus My focus is studio photography, outside locations how beautiful they may be are not my interest (maybe I’m too lazy for that). In the studio you can fully control your lights. I’m not at all against the subtle use of Photoshop: a model photo may look better than ‘reality’.

My model The contact between photographer and model is special in my experience, direct face-to-face in a relaxed atmosphere that’s what I’m aiming for so model and photographer can work together to get creative results.
