I’d arranged a tuition session and asked that we focus on studio-style flash lighting, something I’m not too confident on. They were very friendly about arranging the shoot and were confident that my “mood board” ideas were ones we could work with.

I found them to be welcoming, friendly, professional and confident. Very easy to work with, encouraging and constructive. I left with a load of pictures I was very happy with, and with far more confidence. Better still, as they had the same Godox flash heads as me, I now know how to get the best from them!

The shoot was a reintroduction back into photography for me and after a warm welcome into their home studio from both Angel and John and a much needed cup of coffee, we had a brief tour of the possible sets before starting the shoot.

Both have an easy going manner which makes them a joy to work with and get great results.

Team black put out a casting call for a one to one tuition at their home studio... After only being a glamour photographer for a few months I thought it would benefit me to have some tuition..

Team black didn't disappoint. The knowledge they both have was unbelievable and they both helped me so much with tips about lighting and Shadows and posing. The home studio just works so well and they have got it just right with all the lighting and set up of different back drops. They make an good cup of coffee as well that's always important...the three hour tuition just sped by and I gained not only knowledge of glamour photography but it gave me more confidence into being a professional photographer.. thank you team black. I highly recommend a photoshoot or tuition with this lovely couple. You won't regret it.

I recently had a remote shoot with Team Black (Angel and John) and again it was a wonderful experience. Angel and I communicated before the shoot and we had no problems at all. She is cooperative and always listening to my suggestions, as I am to hers. I can't recommend Team Black enough, they will accommodate you if they can and I really never heard a "no, I can't do that." Also, Angel is great with the models she has in the studio. She knows what models need to do as she is a wonderful model herself. I also want the model to feel comfortable both physically (not too cold, are you?) and of course emotionally and Angel does the same.

Use Team Black for your shoots and you will never regret it.

Team black (John & Angel) hosted a 1:1 workshop with 4 hours of shooting at their home in Taunton. Payment was really quick and easy via their online website, and communication before was also great. The shoot was fashion to lingerie with a location shoot between indoor sets. Angel changed outfits four times during the day with the backgrounds also changing accordingly.

Angel & John are very friendly and easy to work with, I appreciated that they took the time to get to know my photographic background and style. Even discussing this on the day to tailor the experience around what I wanted to get out of the shoot. Team black have a wide range of backgrounds, outfits & ideas. I was impressed by the broad range of sets they created in such a short time in a normal sized space, I’m sure they would have something to accommodate everyone.

For me, the most value part of the experience was being to ask and discuss things with Angel / John in real time, this was especially useful as I haven’t a lot of experience shooting indoors with backdrops & continuous lighting. Both of John & Angel gave very considered and detailed discussions around my questions.

I came away with some fantastic photos and would recommend attending one of their workshops if you are contemplating it. I also wouldn’t worry about experience level either as I’m sure they can accommodate beginners through to more experienced shooters.

I can honestly say this was one of the most useful and enjoyable workshops I have undertaken.

Angel and John are a great team - they tailored the masterclass to my requirements but were also happy to modify their plan on the fly to allow me to try new techniques as ideas came up.

John is a skilled and patient instructor and Angel is a highly talented , confident and gorgeous model - together they are generous with their knowledge and time - I learned so much from them.

I attended a Team Black tuition event at their home with Angel as the model and John giving me guidance and acting as assistant with props and lights and reflectors etc.

My hobby photography was a bit rusty through health issues throughout early 2023 so their casting seemed just the right thing to get me up and running again.

It was a very enjoyable event and I was made to feel welcome and enjoyed our little chats and breaks as well as the actual shooting. They are a most professional and talented team and look forward to working with them again sometime. I learned a lot in out time together and John gave me lots of tips and advice I can use in the future.

Angel coordinated and assisted on a remote between myself and Antonia Jay. The pre-shoot communications were great with Angel coordinating set selections and lighting. The shoot went off perfectly. During the shoot, we moved from one room to another and Angel had to move the camera, computer gear, and lighting to another room. Her performance was flawless. I've worked with Angel and John several times now and each time is perfect and exceeds expectations. I highly recommend Team Black.

Another brilliantly run remote shoot by Team Black events. Sets and model were prepared. Even with a small technical hiccup that was beyond their control, everything went great. Can't wait to do another event with them again.

I planned a studio weekend with team black, from the beginning they have been exceptionally proffessional, have gone above and beyond to help me with anything I was unsure of and arranged a sold out 2 day booking for myself and Angel.

I was lucky enough to stay in their home, which they were very accommodating, adding little extras to the dressing table with things that are always needed and forgotten when getting ready for a shoot such as hair slides, makeup wipes, cream and dry shampoo! and home comforts slippers and a dressing gown

although I know angel has been modelling a long time and her husband is an exceptional photographer, I was blown away with just how knowledgeable she was with the technical side of shooting. helping myself and the photographers who had booked remote shoots, ensuring every shot looked amazing, and amazing they were!

I shot around the house and in their small studio, they make every space work with different back drops, props and lighting, it's amazing what they create.

I can not reccomend them enough! a lovely, creative, considerate proffessional couple. I hope they will have me again, it was a fabulous weekend.

I highly recommend working with Team Black. They're a killer team with a phenomenal background in both photography and modeling. There is no doubt that Angel will bring it to the shoot with her professionalism and beauty. I had the pleasure of booking with them for quite a few shoots now, and i very pleased with the results. I managed to get a last minute cancellation, for the Team Black event Angel + Azura.

Team Black make it so easy to do remote shoots. From camera to lighting to the many sets at home, it is one of the best set ups for remote shoots I know of.

Plus Angel is one of the hardest working models out there, and always makes sure you are happy with the results.

A remote shoot is never the same as in person, but here it gets very close.

One thing to note is that whenever there is a duo shoot with Angel, the other model is carefully thought about. Will they work well with each other? Compliment, or be a good 'opposite', would be a concern for a photographer, but this is just part of the process of a Team Black event like this. Choosing the other model carefully.

Angel will say sorry a million times, while she is in her words 'faffing' around, getting sets ready or replacing batteries whatever. But in reality this would happen with an in person shoot. But she is a perfectionist, and that is why doing a Team Black event just works, guaranteed.

7 shoots since 2021, only 2 in person.

Keep up the great work!

Being able to offer remote shoots is becoming a speciality now, and Team Black is HIGHLY recommended in my book!
