I take photographs for pleasure, mainly landscape or inanimate objects. I do sometimes get family members to let me photograph them, but those opportunities are not common as most of the family hate being photographed. I use an Olympus E300 which is old but reliable and occasionally I use an Olympus mju as its easier to carry about.
