Another photographic technique ticked off the list! 😊 I've wanted to try shooting underwater for a long time, so delighted to join an LPS workshop on Saturday in Bourne shooting our two lovely mermaids, Jade and Holly, in what amounted to an enormous human sized glass fish tank! It's certainly tricky. Lighting is difficult, clothing gets tangled around everything and it takes great skill to look serene and not like you're drowning at all. 😂 Holly's done an amazing job in this image.

One of the dresses was very colourful and reminds me of the graceful fins of ornamental koi carp, but Holly seems much more the siren in this one.

Long afloat on shipless oceans

I did all my best to smile

'Til your singing eyes and fingers

Drew me loving to your isle

And you sang

Swim to me, swim to me, let me enfold you

Here I am

Here I am

Waiting to hold you
