I had my first shoot with David at my home and it went really well! David was polite and professional and we got in great. He had a clear vision of what he wanted to create and together we got some great shots. I would definitely recommend models to shoot with David as he’s great at what he does and I hope to shoot with him again in the future 😊

I had high hopes for my first shoot with David, not only because I have faith in his artistic skill but also because this was my final shoot in my Warwickshire home (which ive been shooting at for 2.5years now!) before moving! Did the shoot meet that expectation? Absolutely! The sets we shot were everything and more than I had hoped for, and David was such a joy to work with throughout. As he kindly noted in his reference to me, it really did feel like old pals catching up and nothing at all like a first meet! It was also so nice to look through the images together after the shoot and select some of our faves. The raw images already looked great, and I can’t wait to share the final edits one day soon! Thank you for such a lovely final home shoot (at this flat) David, I truly hope to work with you again and I also implore any other model to take up the opportunity if it arises! ✨

I worked with David again yesterday and had a great time!

David joined me on my Marilyn Monroe event at Atomic Loft Studio with Jason Skarratt.

He really got into each of the sets we had, and gave excellent direction to get the perfect shots :)

I look forward to working together again sometime.

He’s a great guy and showed holly lots of respect as most of the workshop she was nude

He gave some great directions on poses to get the shots he wanted from the day and kept a constant communication with Holly whilst shooting which is always good for models

He also took on some advice and suggestions from me during the shoot to get different looks in the shots.

Really nice bloke and would welcome him back anytime to future workshops

I had my first shoot with David yesterday and it was a fabulous experience from start to finish.

He was great with communications from the beginning and I had a good idea of what we were going to work on. I found him to be friendly, easy to talk to and very professional. I loved his attention to detail and getting every shot just right. The time flew by and from what I have seen of the pics so far look amazing and I cannot wait to see the edits.

I hope to work with him again very soon and would highly recommend him to any model.

This was my second shoot with the awesome gentleman that is Starskphoto - mid-planning of my tour, and I was just thrilled when David confirmed he’d be able to manage a shoot on the dates I was passing by! If our first shoot was anything to go by then it was destined to be rock and roll. And of course it was! :D Very much so!

David’s policy - you arrive at his place for a shoot and you’re getting a nice hot bevvy right away, and potentially being fed too! :P He’s as relaxed and courteous as can be; with total confidence that you’ll get the shots you’re aiming for and he’d rather offer the model tremendous hospitality and let them chill after their journey before rushing around like mad into the first set. Because it’s true - we hit off the productivity from the first shot working with totally different styles to the time before and the team creativity/rapport just gelled back into play right away. :)

Natural light was on the agenda today - and there’s plenty of it at his place too. From thought-provoking portraits using materials and jewellery to crazy Keira shapes on the furniture (the way you’d do with a studio posing cube haha!) we hit the dynamic flow and nothing could stop us then. :D Couple of hours later: David’s camera was full of utterly magnificent images - hit was high-fives all over again! He is a superb photographer mind you... I am very much tuned-in to be able to go for it and work through my repertoire based on the light/my position, but the nice thing about working with David is his elite attention to detail. Be it the slight dropping of the chin or he’s seen a fold in the material that I can’t see from where I am. Little adjustments: but trust me! It makes all the difference! On top of that he’s managing the light in-camera by the second because daylight does tend to just do it’s own thing ha! But this eyes artistic eye and patience for *THE* shot deserves all the credit in the universe. :)

So it was a splendid shoot. I mean - of course it was! :D We hit it off with chit chat until the moment I left and benefitted from a wonderful model-photographer working relationship once more. David’s someone I’d feel comfortable working with every day of the week and he genuinely moves heaven and earth to make sure models are comfortable on shoots. His communications are always as perfect as every other aspect of the shoot too...

So another gigantic recommendation from that mad Yorkshire model haha! :D

Woooooo - we had a shoot! And it was tremendous! :D It’s 1 million percent worth working with the lovely David... We had been in on-and-off contact for some time beforehand and though our mutual availability had not lined up before now - I can wholly confirm that it was completely worth the wait because we rocked that shoot with next level awesome. What a wonderful person to work with. :)

I was due to be travelling South on what was quite a long and ambitious tour going all over the place (like I usually do haha!) But one thing that’s for certain; this gentleman is the best with communications. He’s really easy-going and shows understanding when a model might have several dozen days work and travel routes to plan, getting the dates in the bag was a piece of cake and before long: we had a lovely half day to look forward to at David’s place in Coventry. When our shoot came around, I was met with the very same superstar approach and non-pressured vibe... When I get to a shoot I’m normally all ready to rock with the “shoot brain” powering up and what-not, but David was a real gem in so many ways. Helping me with my colossal sized suitcases, getting all sat and rested over a natter and the kettle brewing away in an instant! :D He’s the kindest and most hospitable photographer in every element of his nature and etiquette and really does make huge levels of effort to make a shooting visit as nice an experience for models as he can. So we were off to a great start when we started communicating about our shoot, and then we were off to a BRILLIANT start when the shoot commenced. Epic vibes just everywhere. :)

As the shenanigans got going, David showed a great deal of interest in the creative process from the outset. He was mindful of all the elements that contribute towards making an image and we went through my wardrobe picking bits out ready for an organised and imaginative session. He’s very well organised and able to cook up awesome plans for the shoot, but he’s also got fab levels of “impromptu inspo” too, and our shoot was a nice mix of the two elements. It doesn’t stop there either... David is totally cool to have the models contribute and bring ideas to the shoot, enabling a prolific team rapport to fall into place so easily. :) I really love shoots were this is the case because it is a joint exercise, and the buzz you get when the killer photos comes rolling in really highlight how fortunate you are to be doing the job you’re doing.

I cannot emphasise enough how driven David is an individual photographer/artist/creative. Whatever the terminology: he’s got it! :D He can see a moment within the lighting and shoot environment/set and sculpt simply beautiful shots from a single point in time just by making slight alterations to the situation (be it the angle, the light properties or by offering very effective m direction to myself) thus achieving the maximum innovative scope from each look. :) It’s so enjoyable (from a models perspective) working with someone who puts this real level of effort into their work where you can see them just radiating enthusiasm as they go... It’s a contagious phenomenon and the productivity seems to massively benefit in these circumstances. :D But I cannot give enough credit to David for his genius and articulate involvement in the shoot. He knows his stuff technically and applies it across each set/look/scenario with phenomenal results to then show in the back of his camera. David was also so kind as to share the images with me after the shoot... WOWZER there were some good uns! :P

It was just the complete package in an awesome shoot experience. And to top it off: this photographer is a good-hearted and respectful guy through and through. His top priority is to always make sure that the model is happy/feels safe/if well hydrated and even fed!!! So I would imagine any model reading this for a referral should be pretty convinced by now of the utter gentleman that David is! :) I genuinely cannot thank him enough for my experience anyway!

I had my third shoot with David last weekend. This time we decided to try some hotel boudoir. David hired out a lodge and we shot there for 4 hours trying different ideas ranging from a red dress on the patio to some implied topless amongst bed sheets. I always look forward to working with David, he is professional and easy to get on with. His Photography skills are really good and David has a fab eye for detail and also creativity puts into the shoot. He always helps with lifts too and shares photos from our shoot. David is a kind, down to earth photographer who is great to work with - I would as always definately recommend him. Thanks again David! :) x

Shot at comic con and he was fabulous.

Lighting in the venue wasn't the best but he is a true pro and made do with what we had and managed to capture some great shots!

There will definitely be many many many more shoots with David!xx

Had a fantastic first shoot with David yesterday at his home in Coventry!

David's precoms were spot on. It's always a pleasure when a photographer wants to discuss ideas fully before a shoot and David was eager to create a Pinterest mood board with me to create ideas for our shoot together! This was incredibly helpful on the day as we both knew the kind of shots we were aiming for :) we did a some lifestyle, implied and worked on a 'wet sheet shapes' theme and milk bath.

David was a joy to work with start to finish. Very friendly and professional at all times. His photos are so beautiful (even more astounding considering how long he's been shooting for)! I am very excited to see the end result :)!

I really hope to work with David again in the future!

First time I've worked with another model and David but it was just as good as normal.

No one was left out, everyone got along, it was an awesome shoot and as normal David's eye for detail led to fabulous images.

Oh where to start with the lovely David...David and I arranged our shoot ages and ages ago and it was well worth the wait...David is without a doubt alot of fun and didn't complain once when I had him strolling through brambles, over barbed wire and climbing over wood haha...David is adventurous, fun and I enjoyed his company...

I had my second shoot with David yesterday! Was so much fun! He found a crackin location and we did a Pin up and plane shoot. He is professional and a genuine nice guy. He was kind enough to come pick me up and drop me home. We get so well, the conversation never stops and we create some fab pics together. David is also very creative and gives good direction if it is needed. He also has a real eye for detail which I like because that can make or break a shot sometimes if something is out of place or not quite right. You feel totally comfortable and relaxed with him throughout the shoot too. A great photographer to work with on purpleport if you get the chance. Many Thanks David - can't wait to the next one! :) x

One of my favourite photographers to work with.

He booked a cosplay shoot with me and asked me to create Elektra comic book version which I did.

David was prepared as usual with example images and a great range of poses and well researched locations.

The shoot went really well and I think we got some fabulous images!
