I am a London-based photographer, working with both analogue and digital photography. After half a lifetime spent teaching the subject, I am now keen to get back behind the camera, build up a new collection of work and help you to produce images for your portfolio.

My studio is in south London, but I am also prepared to travel. You can see from my images that I can turn my hand to a wide range of photographic genres, so feel free to contact me to discuss your ideas and I'll let you know if it is something I can do. I am prepared to consider working on a TFP basis in exchange for your collaboration on some of my personal projects. Otherwise, my fees are dependant on the nature of and the time involved in the production of the work.

At the moment I am developing a body of work with the working title of 'Human Topography'; examples of which you can view in my profile portfolio. In this project I'm exploring the female body as a landscape; focussing on shapes, textures and movement. I am interested in contortion and the sculptural (rather than standard "arched back, reach for the sky" poses) and accentuating these through the use of dramatic studio lighting. Let me know if this looks like something you would like to collaborate on. It will involve nude, but not exploitative image-making, so you should be comfortable with that. I mainly shoot on film and have recently started incorporating projections in my set-ups which is something I'm looking to develop further. This could add a new dimension to the work you currently have in your portfolio.

Paid sessions will include a full set of digital files from which you will be able to select a number of images to have professionally retouched. If we are working on a TFP basis you will get the above as well as a couple of exhibition quality black and white hand print produced by me in my darkroom.
