Had my first shoot at Shutterworks yesterday. A great studio with versatility in backgrounds and props. It was easy to find, managed to park outside too! Scott is very friendly and helpful but lets you get on with things in a non intrusive way. Hope to work there again!

I've had two shoots at Shutterworks in the last three days so that probably speaks for itself!

The studio is always clean and tidy, well-equipped and I love the fact that there is natural light available as it gives that extra bit of flexibility. Scott is always super friendly and helpful; giving advice, making tea, helping with lights or whatever needs doing. I always enjoy my time at Shutterworks and I look forward to working there again.

Used the studio for the first time, its well equipped, has a couple of "set areas" and the natural light available gives a different lighting as well.

Scott and Jeanie were more than helpful in setting up the shoot time and left us to our own devices, which allowed us to work as we wanted and produce some great work.

Will definately be using in the future,

I've had my 2nd shoot at the studio, and again excellent service. They where there early to let me in, helped me to get prepared inc getting the heating on for the comfort of my models. Shutterwork is a fantastic studio and would recommend them to any photographer whether amateur or pro. Will definitely use again and again

I had been meaning to get round to using Shutterworks for some time- so glad I did- it will be first choice from now on :>)

Excellent communications; positive, friendly, professional, easy to book, told me exactly how to get into the studio :>) I had inquired rather last minute about a day shown as booked on the calendar "just in case" and Jeanie allowed me to use the studio on the proviso that support would not be on hand on this occasion but still set up for me before she left- what a star!

As soon as I arrived Jeanie made me feel instantly at home- super-friendly and helpful, made me a hot drink, and a lovely relaxed atmosphere- we were invited to help ourselves to anything we needed to use and trusted with the studio as she needed to be elsewhere.

There was some fab props and probably could have had a jolly nice afternoon playing dressup with Jeanie if we didn't each have other plans!! Thanks a million :>)

We had our next shoot at Shutterworks and everything was just great. The owners are so kind and always prepare everything exactly like you wish it to be, and then give you a total freedom and privacy for the time of your shoot. The studio itself is very well arranged, so you can easily shoot with a paper background and in a cosy baroque-ish corner at the same shoot. There is a separate make-up room/rest area with a kettle and fridge, and all the necessities of a typical studio day, and we were even given bottled water for our coffee/tea to make it taste better than from the tap. Recommended without any doubts and already booked again. Thank you!

My first shoot at Shutterworks was on the model day with the lovely Sopia Rin.

The studio is extremely well equipped with excellent lighting, backdrops, props and a surprising amount of shooting space, there is also a separate changing and make up room for models. Scott is such a relaxed and helpful guy, it was a pleasure to work at Shutterworks. Highly recommended.

My first shoot at Shutterworks today and it was a sell-out studio day! Not bad. Scott was present all day to help with lighting and supplied endless cups of tea and good conversation. The studio is amazingly well-equipped with all the lights you could ask for, big windows, plus props, fabric, jewellery and more. I thoroughly enjoyed working there today and look forward to returning soon. Scott and Shutterworks come highly recommended by me - thank you!

I must say, my experience at Shutterworks today was amazing. Communications were excellent, I was promised help, and that's exactly what I received and it was very much appreciated.

Being very new to photography as a hobby and this being my first time in a studio I was very apprehensive and lacking in confidence. Within 5 minutes in the building, cup of tea in hand, all nerves dripped away.

Scott was very helpful with the light setups and assisting me with my camera settings that I have come away with some great shots of Sinopa Rin. I wish I had booked longer than one hour!

I will definitely look out for more castings at this studio.

I have worked with Scott Lymath twice now in the same studio at sShutterworks in Southampton. It is very easy to find, once you done some research, very central and super equipped with everything! Even a jewellery draw I noticed in my second shoot. would recommend to use this studio to everyone.

Had my second hire of Shuttetworks studio on Sunday. The studio is very well equipped and the shoot space is great. Scott is a very welcoming host, assisting with light set ups and a good bloke to chat to! I will definitely be hiring over the coming months. Recomended very highly!

Today I had the opportunity to visit shutterworks studio,

This was because I had booked the studio for a 2 hour shoot today (Monday 22/12/14) but at the last minute the model could not make it, as I had booked the studio if felt the need to pay what was due, it was not there fault the model could not make it.

Having a look around I was impressed at what was on offer and the scope of the opportunity to create something very special

Had my first shoot today at Shutterworks... Scott was waiting there for me and the 2 models I was with. He was happy to help to carry the item's / suitcases the models brought with them.

Once the models started getting ready, he showed me around the studio and helped me set.

There was plenty of room, backdrops,props and lights for me to use.

I would highly recommend this studio to anyone great studio and more important the privacy you have, but always knowing that they are there to assist if needed.

A top professional studio which is certainly one of the best studios that I had the pleasure at working in.

The studio is very spacious, clean and very well equipped - with everything you could want and more ( props,etc).

Absolutely love well organised make-up area with a professional photographic light provided what makes every make-up artist job easier.

Scott and Jean, the studio owner, is a very friendly person and a brilliant photographer, he allowed me and the model space so we can work.

Totally recommended place!

Had my first shoot shoot at Shutterworks this weekend, the experience was a very positive one from the moment that I first made contact to booking and finally turning up and being warmly welcomed. Once I had got there, there was a good variety of props, backdrops and walls to shoot against along with a good selection of lighting equipment and a experienced studio manager to take me through the equipment and best use of the studio to make the shoot a very fulfilling one. I would highly recommend shutterworks.

Jeanie and Scott are very friendly and very reliable. Shutterworks is an excellent studio with amazing props. It also conveniently has a lovely make up and changing room with tea and coffee facilities and a fridge. Scott made sure we had access to everything we needed and he also kindly helped me with my suitcase. Shutteroworks is my ideal studio and I recommend it to all the photographers who want to work with me and don't have their own studios.

I booked Shutterworks on the recommendation of Azadeh, a Southampton model that I had arranged to shoot. I'm lucky to have good home studio facilities, so don't normally book studios elsewhere, but I was very pleased I did. As a self confessed lighting nerd, they had more lights and modifiers than even I knew what to do with in one set, or even 3 sets... :-)

A great choice of backgrounds, and assorted other props too, we were not short of ideas to try and toys to play with for the 5 hours we were there. Scott was around initially to show me the kit and make sure I had everything I needed, then left us to get creative, assuring us he was only 5 minutes away should we need anything.

All in all, a great day out and a very well equipped studio. I wouldn't hesitate to return next time I'm shooting that way. Recommended. :-)

Had a shoot today in Shutterworks studio! Such a great space with loads of probe and back drops, amazing lighting and lovely owner! Very good price also! Definitely highly recommend!!

Had the pleasure of shooting at shutter works studio today for a half day booking. The studio is well equipped and Scott was around to offer assistance as required. Although small, the studio is well designed and caters for a wide range of looks and sets and is very versatile and adaptable, was great for all the sets we wished to achieve. I look forward to working at the studio again in the future :)

Ghost Light Photography

I had a great shoot with Elesha Eden at this studio. It was the first time either of us had been to the studio. This is a very versatile space and we were able to get several different looks. Pre-shoot communication was excellent and Jeanie was able to answer every question I had. Is is essential as I was travelling a good distance and could not visit beforehand. They even managed to provide a particular prop I had requested. On arrival, Scott was on hand to show me all the equipment and help with the initial set-up, making sure I was happy with everything. You get the feeling that they will go far out of their way to make sure you have the shoot you want.

This is a great team and I would recommend anyone looking for a studio in Southampton to contact them.
