Attended a studio day at Scarlet Door, and have booked the studio a few times in the past for family shoots. Shawn is always helpful and on-hand when needed but is also happy to be more hands-off when appropriate. He's also been happy to play around with calendars to make arrangements work.

Attended a lighting workshop with Shawn and model BOou. Everything ran to time. Shawn explained each of the setups and why the parameters were chosen. BOou was a lovely, patient model. A very pleasant, relaxing and, for me, rejuvenating evening. Shawn's workshops and events are well recommended.

Hi All, I cannot say enough about Shawn and Charliee. Shawn was unbelievably professional and helpful throughout the session he understood exactly what we were after and set it up and made it happen with exemplary results with the lights and equipment.

Charliee, so perfect in every way, thank you for your kind patience with me "A Studio Virgin" , great self makeup and perfect modelling sets. Positive throughout all the time.

Attended my first studio day at Scarlet Door this week. Pre-shoot comms are excellent, studio was easy to find and is well equipped. Shawn is a top bloke and ensured everything was set up properly and gave some great shooting advice. Highly recommended, I will definitely be back.

Shawn always puts on a great show with the models and his workshops are a real treat to attend. This passed weekend I attended the duo day with Ayla & Charliee with some very physical set-up performed by the models with a mix of strobe and continuous lighting set-up by Shawn with guidance of what we could achieve with these set-ups. Always an education, always a pleasure. Check him out and his studio.

I've had two shoots at the studio this week and it was as good as the first time I visited. Shawn couldn't be any more helpful or welcoming. The studio has everything you could need. One of my shoots is something relatively secret so I can't put up the results of that but I'll be sharing some from the other shoot soon. If you're looking at these references to decide whether to use this studio, then the answer is yes you should!

I had the pleasure to shoot at the Scarlet Door for the first time for a Studio Day me and Shawn organised. Shawn is a lovely guy, always here to help other photographers, talented... a great host! As per the studio, I think I have never seen so many different colour background! Great experience there, I am really looking forward to shooting there again!

Booked the studio for a portrait shoot which required the studio to be blacked out. Shawn immediately set about delivering that and in fact nothing was too much trouble throughout the shoot. A great space to shoot in. I've booked to use the studio again soon so obviously it has my full recommendation.

I recently had 3 shoots in one week at Scarlet Door and no word of appreciation can justify how wonderful the experience was. Shawn is a thorough gentleman and a great help in making sure that I have all the necessary backdrops and lights available. Had some great conversations in between work and learnt a lot from his experience. The studio itself is perfect for the kind of work I do, with ample space, great sets of backdrops and all the lights required for a professional work. Highly recommended for all photographers and models to work at Scarlet Door.

The Ghost

Tucked away on an industrial estate near the centre of Bracknell, Scarlet Door is a hidden gem of a studio.

Great ceiling height, plenty of heads and modifiers, the possibilities are endless.

Most important, Shawn is always on hand with advice if needed yet unobtrusive when he isn’t.

Highly recommended.

I recently had the honour of being hosted for a studio day at Scarlet Door studio, ran by the wonderful Shawn!

From the off we had excellent communication and understanding. Once in Bracknell shawn was kind enough to bring me to the studio and was very considerate of my wellbeing throughout the day when working.

A little gem of a studio and versatile too! I cann speak highly enough of Scarlet Door and my time there and cannot wait until my next visit! 😊
