I attended Sally's workshop at Basford Hurst Cottage Studio with three incredible models. As a relative newcomer to photography I have done quite a few shoots but can honestly say I learned more from Sally than I have from any other tuition day. I love the fact she sets up a scene to tell a story rather than a flat lifeless image. Sally helped me rethink so many things I have learnt how to experiment with different concepts and lighting techniques and come away from her workshop totally inspired by what I have learnt. If you get a chance to go on one of Sallys workshops dont miss the opportunity to learn from this incredible photographer.

I had the good fortune to attend one of Sally's workshops at Basford Hurst Cottage (organised by Nicole Rayner). Sally's approach was refreshingly non technical, focused on mood and story telling and at times completely counter intuitive. I learnt a lot and had a thoroughly enjoyable morning - very highly recommended.

I attended a workshop on Saturday hosted by Sally at Basford Hurst cottage. It was my first time working with her, and my first time at Basford. Sally made the afternoon very enjoyable, assisting the photographers with cameras (co-incidentally all of us with Canons). She was also responsible for the make-up and styling, as well as helping with the locations. It was a learning curve made very much easier by Sally's hands-off, but available, presence, allowing me to make my own mistakes but helping with ideas and hints. Highly recommended from me!
