Mike accompanied model Keira Leigh to our shoot today, and it was a very pleasant surprise bumping into Mike again after a break of several years. Although largely retired now, Mike is still bringing his considerable experience and personality to the industry through mentoring a small number of young models. Apart from having a great chat with him, Mike was very helpful and even made a couple of cracking brews!

When I heard Mike was retiring, I just had to book in with him. Mike met us at the door with a large welcoming smile. Mike gave us a guided tour of the well laid out and well equipped studio. Each room was impeccably clean, comfortably warm and beautifully decorated.

Whilst we were preparing for the shoot Mike made us a great cuppa and even offered to move the lights from room to room.

As many have said previously, lovely guy, great host, fantastic studio and a lovely ambiance to shoot in.

Thank you Mike for your hospitality, I only wished that I had taken the opportunity to work more at Rutland House. 100% Recommend this studio to any model or photographer.

Not only a warm welcome from a fabulous guy but a clean and tidy studio environment. It was my first time at Rutland House, but having known Mike for many years I didn't expect anything less. refreshments on hand, warm studio, clean and very well equipped. This was my third time at Rutland House and as always found it very clean and tidy. Although smaller than lots of other studios the way the studio is decorated there is plenty of areas to shoot in. Mike is so friendly and always on hand to give advice and help with the lighting.

I can fully recommend the studio to other photographers.

Oh I nearly forgot Mike makes a lovely cuppa!

I enjoy these evenings which are informal yet well organised and provide a good "get together" as well as a good photography opportunity. A recommended evening.

Another visit to this excellent studio for a group shoot with Lottie Mae. Really enjoyable time, Mike has a lifetime of experience and stories to tell about photography. I'll be making the effort to get done on more occasions this year to use this great space.

Always a pleasure to shoot at Rutland my last visit being New Years Eve with LottieMae. Not the largest studio but that aside what it has it does really well. Clean and tidy, owner very helpful, hospitality first class. I feel my photography has improved loads by working at Rutland and I fully recommend it. I'm looking forward to more visits to Rutland House in 2019.

I had a very enjoyable shoot at Rutland House Studio.

The studio is is clean, tidy, warm, and well decorated. I was particularly pleased with the 10 foot high ceilings in the studio which made placement of light pleasant. As well as the main studio with paper backgrounds, there are also several additional rooms to explore - something I'll have to do on my next visit!

Mike, the owner, is friendly and professionally. He offered refreshments on arrival and when we took a break, and he was also most helpful with changing the paper backgrounds and switching light modifiers around.

Highly recommended, and it won't be the last time I'm booking this studio!

Love working with the team at Rutland. It's a place that models with whom I work regularly with, so much enjoy visiting. I'm back at Rutland today for a shoot with the one of Rutlands in house team - it completes the set today !! Good hospitality and available expertise places this studio regularly on my calendar and if she's in I always get a hug from the Queen of Rutland :) With studio lighting and two natural light rooms I cannot fault Rutland. Thank you Team - I'll be there shortly, once again :)

Had our 1st studio shoot at Rutland House on Friday, 5th October. We were made very welcome by Mike Jagger; Mike is a great chap, extremely professional, great personality and extremely helpful - nothing was too much trouble for him.

Mike's expertise with studio lighting is truly amazing & creative; our lovely model Amy Rose had 6 wardrobe changes and Mike moved the lights around to give us 6 beautiful looks, all offering something different. Blown away by his knowledge and creative skills.

All 4 of us photographers are delighted with our images.

Thank you Mike for your valuable input; we know from experience that whenever we shoot with Amy Rose we always come away with great images BUT the lighting skills you brought to the shoot have enhanced those images to another level.

What a fantastic Great studio, fantastic facilities and resources,

This was the first time I had booked rutland house studio. It was easy to find and had parking right by. I was welcomed by mike who was very bubbly and had a great sense of humour. He gave me a tour of the studio which I was very impressive it is the best I have worked in so far. It has lots of space The props their were superb and it was equips with everything you could think of. I would defiantly recommend the studio and be happy to go back. Thank you to Mike and Amy for a fabulous time at the studio

Had a shoot at Rutland House Studios today with the delightful LottieMae. After a long journey up there to be met with a request of what I would like to drink was very welcome and to be given the best coffee I've had from a studio was great.

The studio is all that you require for a great look and is extremely clean with great style and nutural colours. Drinks were once more offered and made as I'd like to call half time.

The whole session was a delight made all that special with the little touches this studio previides. Have all ready made plans for another shoot or two here.

I had a great day of shooting with Jazza and Frankie Louise at Rutland House Studio. Mike was great, being on hand throughout the day to help set up lights, dig out props, loan a wider angle lens, offer invaluable advice and make the tea.

A great location with both the studio and "apartment" areas to shoot in and great value. I would highly recommend a shoot there.

Used Rutland House studio for the first time today and I must say it is extremely great place to do a shoot. Mike who runs the studio is tremendously friendly, approachable and helpful.

The studio offers not only a studio space in the conventional sense but a living room, hallways and bedrooms not to mention a kitchen as well. It was great to versatility to shoot not only the the studio but in the other rooms as well.

I would highly recommend using Rutland House studio and the prices are in my opinion for what you get extremely reasonable.

Hope to shoot there again in the future if they will have me :-)

Rutland House is a terraced house that is devoted to studio photography and is an excellent place to work. I used only a tiny fraction of its capability.

This was my third time at Rutland House and I cannot recommend it enough. It is a unique studio for one reason: Mike Jagger who runs it is a marvel.

First, Mike picks you up at the station and provides tea, coffee and biscuits during a shoot. This means you get more time with the model.

Second, Mike trains the models to be professional and covers all aspects of posing. I would be very happy to work at Rutland House with any model that Mike had trained/coached.

I cannot think of a place that I'd rather work at than Rutland House. Perhaps I should explore more of its facilities at future shoots.

I would also recommend Rutland House to the beginner. Mike is more than willing to help the photographer and is a great person to work with.
