References for Rob Rook

Well where do I even begin to start about this wonderful man.

I contacted Rob about collaborating on a portfolio update as I was touring in Suffolk and had seen Robs work through my best friend Rose Magdalene child.

I had been a fan of Robs work for a while and admired the way he can work with natural light, and the way he can capture the most beautiful images.

I was so grateful that Rob agreed to give up his time for me and agreed to a TF collaboration as a trio.

There needs to be more photographers like Rob. He is so empowering, he sees every body form and shape as a thing of beauty, he can capture anyone regardless of their gender shape colour and turn it into a work of art.

Before Rob I was always afraid to show my stomach and my stretchmarks, Im so used to photographers telling me to breath in, or don't worry I can smooth you in photoshop, Rob was completely different. He told me to embrace it, my stretchmarks are my history and my memories of having my babies and made me understand that I am beautiful marks scars and all.

He empowered me in a way no other photographer ever has, I felt confident secure and beautiful.

The way he works with natural light to flatter you and his angles left me speechless.

Now I know to truly be a magnificent photographer you need to be able to work with literally ANYONE, Rob is this sort of man, he can make everybody look their best, his attitude is truly beautiful and equals his stunning work.

I honestly can't big this man up enough, a beautiful soul, truly talented photographer, to be able to work with and around ever changing natural light and smash out shot after shot is a talent in itself.

Rob understands women which is a huge bonus in this industry, he get's us, understands our insecurities and knows how to adapt to help us to overcome them.

Every single model could benefit from shooting with Rob, not only will you get truly beautiful images but also walk away with a new found confidence and believing that you truly are beautiful flaws and all.

I am so grateful I got to meet Rob, a new friend and a amazing man, if you ever get the chance work with Rob do it!, I can't praise him enough.

Even after 10 plus years in the industry Rob completely changed my view on how shoots should be and has opened my eyes to a lot of things in this industry,

Thanks Rob this is probably my favourite shoot of my career and here is to many more.

Rob was along to assist at Rose Magdalene Child and Mecia Jade's natural light beach group shoot and was a real pleasure to have around, striking a great balance between finding great shot angles, suggesting helpful tips, while allowing the photographer's plenty of space to get into the zone. Extra points for impressing us all with his parkour skills ;-)

I worked with Rob yesterday at my home. This shoot was a long time in the making due to Covid and it was certainly worth the wait.

Rob arrived on time and I was met with a welcoming smile. After the tour of our workspace we sat with coffee and Jaffa cakes and had a general chat and revision of what we were to shoot.

The phrase “time flies when your having fun” couldn’t have been more true. 4 hours turned into 7 and 1000 images later we wrapped up our day.

And I’m thrilled with the images I’ve seen so far.

Rob is such a friendly, professional and just an all round wonderful person/photographer. I thoroughly enjoy his company and the entirety of our shoot.

Hugely recommended to any model.

Had another amazing shoot with rob this week at walton on naze. It was a unplanned short notice shoot when rob messaged me day before asking if I fancied a beach shoot I jumped at the opportunity as we always have a great shoot and I get some amazing photos I would highly recommend rob to anybody and look forward to working with him again in the future.

What an amazing shoot I had with Rob! I've wanted to work with him for ages and it was worth the wait!

Rob is such a talented photographer, actually, I would say one of the best photographers I've worked with.

Every single image is just spot on. His editing is mindblowing as well. As a person, Rob is very chilled and easy to work with. We went for a swimwear shoot and the location he has chosen is just beautiful. He knew the best spots to work around. He knew perfectly what he was doing and you can see it in the composition of the pictures.

I'm seriously impressed with the results but I already was when I saw the pictures from the back of the camera!

You really made my day Rob thank you so much was amazing!

Today I had a really enjoyable and informative 121 Tuition - 'AT HOME WITH TILLIE' Natural Light Only - with the beautiful Tillie & highly talented Rob Rook, photographer. Both Tillie and Rob are very experienced in this field, highly knowledgeable and worked really well together as a team. Nothing was too much trouble and the course was very much tailored to suit you and taken at a comfortable / your pace. Rob's explanations, advice and suggestions were excellent and Tillie was the perfect model in the perfect setting.

I thoroughly recommend anyone wishing to improve their natural light photography to take this course - thank you so much!

I'm not really sure where to start with my reference for this insanely talented guy...

Speechless is a word I can only use to describe our shoot and the images produced.

I have wanted to work with Rob for a long time - and I honestly wasn't sure whether or not he would agree. But when he did I was absolutely over the moon :D excited and also very nervous. I really wanted to make sure I had outfits planned for the shoot and be on my best form.

A series of events leading up to the shoot meant that my head was a little all over before the shoot and consequently I felt a little anxious about the shoot, BUT...i needn't have done as within 5 minutes in the coffee shop we sat down in we were chatting away like we'd known each other ages and I felt very comfortable and at ease with him.

We shot in a variety of different places, it was all very casual and relaxed but super productive and successful. I hadn't shot around Bury before so wasn't sure where we were going to shoot or anything but with Rob's experience and confidence we just seemed to make everywhere work!!

Rob's skill with his editing is out of this world - he is one of the best there is out there in my opinion and I would happily shoot with him every day :D haha.

I'm looking forward to our next shoots now - watch this space.

I had an amazing shoot with Rob.

I already thought I left a reference.

He is kind, professional, creative, easygoing and was understanding of my travel delay. We shot fashion outdoors near colourful huts, winter coat shots and lovely coffee shop portrait shots.

I really am impressed with our results and I hope that I and Rob can have another shoot sometime.

Highly recommended photographer.

No words can really describe just how awesome it is working with this Natural light genius!

Rob made the journey up to Norwich at the weekend to shoot our 6th shoot in and around the city and to say we killed it was a total understatement!

As always we had ideas and outfits set in stone and Rob being familiar with Norwich knew the locations we were going to shoot in, safe to say the weather was most certainly on our side that day.

We started with a winter fashion set while the frost was still on the ground and then proceeded to shoot some fashion before heading into the city for that all important coffee, Which also made it a perfect excuse to grab some lifestyle type shots! To which I absolutely loveee already and Rob was super quick having edited a shot within 12 hours!

Even when we were on route back to the car we kept stopping at potential spots and I was sue to model all the sets I had brought!

I have been working with Rob for close to 6 years now and not only was he my 4th or 5th ever photographer he has ALWAYS produced some of my best work within my portfolio, he takes my crazy ideas on board and never gets bored of them or shooting me which is great because your probably stuck doing annual shoots with me until I am 70 hahaha

It's been a wonder to work with this guy right from the start and it has been amazing to be on this journey of improvement and creativity together! He was ace to begin with but now he is even more skilled and it really shows! It's more like catching up with a good friend which is something I consider Rob to be! I even made sure he went home with a new camera bag at a bargain price as the ones he was looking at originally were very expensive! It was only going to sit in storage so I am happy it has gone to a loving home.

The most courteous, professional, skilled, creative and just generally lovely! I cannot recommend models enough to work with this guy! He will more than enhance your portfolio he will be a pure example of how photographers should act on shoots! a TOTAL professional!

Our shoot was my last shoot in the UK until October 19 as I am off travelling and I couldn't have seen the uk off with a better shoot! I look forward to my return in October where I am hoping we can link up once again!

What a Guy!

Seriously, Rob is just an absolute legend! Professional, Friendly, Total Gentleman, Quirky, Awesome taste in music and makes a tasty coffee!

This was our fifth shoot together over the 5 years I have known him and as always it was mind blowingly fun! A super host and really puts the model first, but most of all Rob really knows what he is doing with his camera and just how to capture stunning image after image.

Rob was very kind to pick me up from Ipswich (due to the trains replacing most services with buses) and give me a grand tour of Clacton-on-Sea. We done several outfits on location including a re-visit to the gorgeous beach huts and rocks.

We shot the usual Fashion and Beauty, but we also touched upon some lingerie shot's in which we hadn't done before and I could not believe the results from the back of the camera alone! Not to mention the shots were playing back on his super cool tab (which is super helpful as it showed me where to correct or improve upon my pose, we need this on more shoots!

All in all it was a fast paced, varied, fun filled day and the weather just about held out for us.

Rob really is my go to photographer and the only photographer I see beneficial in collaborating with as he brings something different to my portfolio every time! He produces such high quality and amazing results and no matter how experienced or established you are as a model he is well worth collaborating with! I could not recommend Rob enough and I look forward to our next annual shoot in 2019 ;)

Rob is fantastic!

We shot at his place and down on clacton beach, which was lovely! He is extremely talented and I would definitely recommend.

Not only does Rob know how to work a camera, but he knows how to work the natural light and the model themselves.

I for one absolutely loved our shoot.

Can't wait for our next photo shoot adventure!

What a wonderful photographer / retoucher / host / companion / chef / master of natural light Rob is :))

I've been spending all weekend with this lovely photographer in London and Clacton and made thousands (not even kidding) beautiful pictures. Rob was kind enough to accommodate me (poor guy had to sleep on the couch), made me amazing dinner and just in general was really lovely.

It was a third time we worked together (and the second time with an incredible MUA Faye Neil) and we always work in a supaaah chilled atmosphere with lots of laugh and create so many beautiful pictures. Also, he is always open to different ideas and challenges. Those two days just flew away! The biggest difficulty was to choose the favourite pictures for editing (that I received in a really short period)!

This dude is definitely one of my favourite photographers and peoples to work with that always boost my confidence.

Had my first shoot with Rob today and I really hope it won't be the last!!

Excellent pre comms, really friendly and super easy to get on with. So supportive all they way through leading up to the shoot and was really helpful at getting ideas/plans together.

He truly is a wonderful and truly talented man who will capture you at your best! He's fantasticly meticulous and has a great eye for all small details he really knows his stuff!

I have known Rob many many years, and even when we did our first shoot together he made me feel very at ease and comfortable. No matter how skilled the models are, he directs and themes it perfectly for them- to the point they look like a pro! After years of not modelling at all, when I contemplated getting back into it he was the first person I spoke to about it and he kindly offered a photo shoot, low key enough so I could get to grips with it again. It massively helped and on top of that, the final photos were amazing. Couldn't be happier- There are a small handful of photographers that I could honestly highly recommend and Rob is one of them. You'd learn alot working with Rob, and comparing our first shoot to our most recent- he has developed so much as a photographer it's a pleasure to see. I had my second shoot with Rob and have to say - he improved so much since our shoot last year! He's owning natural light - simple as that. It say's he will make any weather work on his profile and that's absolute true!

I am very glad I met him, as his work is outstanding. He will take right angle and will accept to try own ideas, and oh God he goes so happy when he can be creative !
