Rob Fine Art Photography

I was born in the Netherlands near the Seaside, spending my childhood together with my family of two brothers, one sister, a lovely mother and a father who was a Seaman. It was he, who brought to me the photography in bringing with him from Japan one of the first reflex cameras’s ever made, an Asahi Pentax, Spotmatic sp1000. I was 15 years old when I started taking pictures and it never stopped. It became a second nature of me and a way of satisfying my curiosity in all what happens around and between us human beings. 

I moved to France in the end of the eighties and started my own family. It was an extraordinary life experience to move to another country and adopt another lifestyle. It opened up my soul to others and it still does. People are looking for the same things, wherever they are, wherever they life.

My approach to photography has always been and is “ More is Less”.  It’s not the camera or the equipment but the eye of the beholder . It’s more than a capture.  I want my pictures to give you something more than just immortalization a moment. I want them to have an emotion and a sensibility you will recognize.

This sensibility make’s that my photography is more than just the technical part of taking a picture but starts with meeting people, planning shootings, sharing excitement during them and after when I deliver, enjoy the result of it.

I express myself trough my photography in different styles as : Portrait, Architecture, Fashion, Beauty, Commercial, Alternative, Food, Glamour, Landscape, Lifestyle, Lingerie and everything what inspires me.
