What a fun shoot it was!

Rick needed a model to create content for Pixapro in both videos and stills. Once we have done this, we then shoot some pictures using different backgrounds. The results were fantastic! We did a 1920's outfit as well and Rick used his magic to create a lighting that was proper to the period. I was quite impressed!

Shoots are always fun with Rick with plenty of time to relax and have some good laughs. I'm always looking forward to the next one.

Thank you for having me again! Highly recommend Rick to anyone who wish to work with a friendly and professional photographer.

I had the pleasure of working with RJ Bradbury Photography Studio for the first time, and I hope this is the start of many more opportunities. When I applied for their model casting call, the instructions and brief were clear, and I received a speedy reply. The communication before, during, and after the photoshoot was efficient and professional.

I was immediately impressed by Rick's strong work ethic. Upon arrival, he gave me a tour of the studio, and I was struck by the attention to detail - from the clothes rail and hangers to the heating, steamer, and ironing facilities. The layout of the studio was compact yet functional, with the changing room, bathroom, kitchen, and shooting space all within a few meters of each other.

During the session, I had the chance to model for their 1-on-1 lighting tutorial. To my delight, Rick played some rock music in the background, which inspired a second look - a rock chic vibe. I was in awe listening to Rick's wisdom, knowledge, and extensive experience. It was clear that this studio is well-equipped for both photographers and models. The preview images from the tethered camera-to-computer setup were impressive, showcasing the quality of the lighting setup.

I was also pleased to find that snacks and beverages were offered, making the experience even more comfortable and enjoyable. I was also delighted that Rick gave me a polaroid photograph as a souvenir to take home, making this studio experience truly special to me. In fact, I even left my mark in the studio by having my polaroid added to their noticeboard!

Overall, I highly recommend RJ Bradbury Photography Studio and Rick's services to both models and photographers. The studio experience was truly memorable, and I look forward to the opportunity to work with them again in the future.

I modelled again for one of Ricks 1-2-1 sessions and again had so much fun! He is lovely to work with and has great creative skills. It was a pleasure working with him again, and he is clear with direction. We had a laugh also which is always good and he even had snacks which are always a bonus! The shoot went well, and he made sure I was comfortable and happy. Very easy to get along with, and good with direction on the shoot. I would definitely recommend to other models. I’d also recommend to other photographers too!!

DAPP booked me to shoot at Ricks studio during my northern tour this Autumn and it was bloody lovely!

Rick is a very kind and helpful studio owner. I was welcomed with big smiles and felt very comfortable and happy all throughout. He let us know that he was on hand for anything we may need and kept us provided with cups of tea all afternoon too!

The studio is well equipped with some great amenities too, I'd definitely recommend it to any models in the area or those that may be touring and would love to work there again in the future.

I was the model for a training session 1-2-1. Rick is an excellent teacher and has a real passion for this. His large knowledge in lighting and humour are both his strength.

The environment is always relaxed with him and he knows how to make other people feels at ease.

It was a fun session and I think his ‘student’ was very happy, learnt a lot from today and left with some great pictures.

Thank you again! I’m looking forward to come back to the studio sometimes after my holiday (with a nice tan or red from a sunburn, who knows).

He organized a fantastic workshop and social event, where I participated as a photographer to learn new skills about lighting. This was another brillant shoot with Rick! We organised everything in a short amount of time and Rick got everything ready in a short notice.

He picked me up from the train station and when we arrived to the studio, the first set was already set up and he welcomed me with some « yum yum » for breakfast haha.

Rick’s lighting technique is absolutely on point and I love how each times, even after shooting on so many occasions, it’s always something very different.

Rick is super creative while being very open to my ideas, and definitely knows how to make the models feel comfortable. I can absolutely see him being great with models who are just starting out.

I was modeling for Rick’s workshop for business headshot today. He got together a nice small group of photographers to share his knowledge in business headshots lighting and techniques.

The workshop was a perfect length with half theory supported with a powerpoint and half practice with different changes in term of outfits and lighting.

I found Rick being very pedagogic, giving simple and clear explanations, easy to understand even for beginners and willing to answer to any questions.

If you need a great teacher to improve your photographic skills, Rick is your man!

It’s always so much fun to shoot with Rick. He showed lots of interests to the ideas I suggested, from the classic ones to the crazy and weird ones.

Long over due return to this fine chap's portfolio page to leave my second reference for RJ Bradbury.

Had a blast upon my return to this gents studio. We shots fitness portraits and had the use of many pixapro lighting setups.

Also I catered for the day by bringing some equipment and clothing courtesy of my gym.

Had a super fun shoot.

This was my first shoot directly with Rick- I have Short at his studio before and been impressed with his lighting and technical knowledge, but I have to say shooting directly with him and I think he’s a lighting guru- his extensive planning, and pre-communications are brilliant, so you both are on the same page about what you’re trying to achieve, but he knows exactly how to achieve it technically, achieving brilliant results!

Aside from that also a lovely person he got snacks drinks and was super understanding about an injury I’ve had recently (even around flexibility of start times etc). He shoots tethered, which I do really like, and is totally transparent about everything that he wants to create- so we got on and created some brilliant shots! Rick also sourced an assistant, the lovely Dave Andrew is brilliant at instructing him and advising him on how to make the most out of each and every aspect of the shot!

Hugely enjoyable experience – I really hope our return to the studio soon for some more shoots- there are some we’ve already discussed that I’m really excited about, I can think of endless possibilities, hopefully that will happen soon. Thanks Rick hopefully see you soon
