I'd been 'out of the loop' for the past 18 months or so. Nothing sinister, I've just doing my bit as a dutiful son and looking after a poorly mum. However, I'm planning to be back to it in the new year looking forward to some creative collaborations!
Short version: "Photographer, Teacher, Black Belt, Geek, Cat Lover, Coffee Shop Whore."
If you’re interested in working with me, please note I'm really only interested in TF/collaborations at this time. Please read the notes below before sending a message.
Want to arrange a shoot? - Read this first!
If you're interested in a shoot do free to get in touch, I don't bite..
- If you contact me or add me to your 'want to work with' list I'll assume you're looking to shoot TF/collaborate.
- If you send a speculative/copy & paste message touting for paid work I reserve the right to respond with a photo of my cat or something..
- If I do need to book a model for a workshop or training day I will contact someone directly from those I have previously shot with TF. Sorry, but there will be no exceptions to this.
- I have some further notes regarding TF arrangements on my website please read these before we shoot.
Portfolio Builder Shoots
If you're new and interested in a Portfolio Builder shoot, please get in touch for more details/rates.
I used to be a software engineer, but got out of the rat-race a few years ago to be my own boss and roughly half of that involves photography.
You'll find more information about my photography background, training etc. on my website but in short, I like to shoot all kinds of people, places, wildlife, music, all sorts of things! A few years ago I was awarded a distinction from the Royal Photographic Society and now I'm on the committee for the RPS in the Western Region, primarily dealing with workshops and training.
The professional side of my photography is mostly training, I do a lot of one-one-one training plus workshops here in the UK and further afield in places such as Paris, Prague, Budapest and others planned. That keeps me pretty busy and pays for most of the gear. I do also take on the occasional paid shoots such as portraits, events, band promos and the odd wedding but I'm pretty selective about those as my own photography is very much a personal thing and I don't want to spoil that by taking up all my time with 'bread & butter’ shoots with no creative benefit to me.
If you've got this far then thanks for reading, you'll now know I have a Bengal cat. Mention that in a message and I'll be a lot more likely to respond knowing you've actually read my profile. Tell me her name (from the page linked above) and I'll probably even buy you a cake ;-)
