The Millhouse Studio - Welcome! The Bijou Studio in Somerset

We are a funky quirky little studio with a big heart. Nothing is too much trouble and we go out of our way to accomodate our clients and visitors.

The studio and building maintain their industrial feel being basic but intriguing. The studio is clear and accomodates commercial shoots as well as private sessions and even the occasional gig or two. We are part of an artistic "hub" and love every minute of it.

Loads but loads of props from angel wings to flags, hats and shoes. Natural light is good and there are good outside industrial areas available to shoot, probably best clothed due to public occasionally being around.

We have a great cafe upstairs where you can treat your model to tea and cakes or just a coffee for yourself between shoots. Either way you can camp out down here for the day and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and relax with your photography.

In summary we are quirky, friendly and reliable with a bank of good lighting from large Octos to small softs and grids. Stands & Boom arms etc are all as you would expect to see in a professional commercial studio.

Hourly rate : £25 / hour for minimum 2 hours and £20 / hour thereafter.

Half Day rate : £80 for 4 hours.

Full Day rate Monday - Saturday : £150 for 8 hours shooting (so that means you can stop for lunch!).

Sunday Shoots by arrangement only. 9.00 am - 5.00 pm - £250 , or , 10.00am - 4.00 pm - £170

Assistance is offered free of charge for those who require it. Shoots are able to take place with no interference once the basics have been sorted out.

Film Fanatics!!

Hey - if you still happen to be a lover of using b&w film ( which we are!) we have a fantastic fabulously equipped darkroom. So why not shoot in the morning and develop and print in the afternoon? What better way to spend a day?

Monochrome Workshops are a speciality here so do get in touch if interested, experienced and beginners alike.
