I had a wonderfully fun photoshoot with Ted at his home studio, I was made to feel welcome with a hot cuppa on arrival. We had previously discussed ideas of what we would be shoot, so waisted no time in getting snapping away. Ted was great at sharing ideas and listening to mine too - we had lots of laughs and captured some beauties. ❤️

I was extremely lucky to get hosted by Ted at his lovely house. He is the most prepared photographer with the most ingenious ideas. He is very experienced and gifted. His productivity is leading. He is congenial which made me feel very comfortable like known for years. He helped me with non-model technical advice too. I look forward to going back there and shooting with him again. I recommend him to other models. I appreciate the cornish pasty too. Despite far apart, we will stay connected and in contact. :)

All I can say is Wow, We had a great afternoon doing various shoots using different themes. The photos were great. Ted was very friendly and got me relaxed straight away, spending time having tea and a chat about what he wanted before the shoot. We spent most of the day laughing and chatting. Will be returning soon

I had a great shoot with Ted during my trip in Devon. He is very friendly and we had a very relaxed shoot . His home studio is beautiful . We tried a lot of interesting locations in his house . Ted let me pose freely . I really looking forward to working with him again !

We had good communication beforehand and had loads of ideas between us, most of which we had time to put into practice.

My reference is dreadfully late, and I feel awful for it because it was our first time working together and Ted was really lovely to meet. I wanted to catch up with admin to also help him build up his references but 2022 was just a mad year with a lot of setbacks. So I hope this long ramble does the justice it needs to after so long!

I only tour this far South very occasionally; it's quite far out from where I live, and though a gorgeous place with a lovely creative community it is sad that the Devon/Cornwall gang don't get that many of us coming down all that often! 😭 But; I was set to be visiting for another assignment which was taking me about as far South as I could go - I figured it was worth firing out a casting to see if I could connect with some new photographers in the local area. That was when Ted got in touch. 🌟😊 Ted's communications were brilliant from the start, I have to say! He was concise, to-the-point and really helpful as I was trying to coordinate my movements and allocate shoots to different days. He came across very gentlemanly even from the first messages which gave me a great vibe. Thus on the day we met up for our shoot I was already feeling confident about the things we'd discussed and was looking forward to getting creative shooting around Ted's lovely home space - which is ideally kitted out for both studio-style shooting AND utilising home sets. He's done well with his space. 😀 Further still; Ted is set up to be able to offer accommodation, which he so kindly did for me the evening before the day of our shoot. There are many things to remark positively on my shoot with Ted so I'll break it down into segments...

Accommodation:-

Ted offered me a bed for the night as he realised I was on the road and hopping from shoot to shoot, this kind gesture was hugely appreciated since I am always looking to try and stay as close to the place where I'm due to be working for ease. When you can literally stay at that very place - you can't beat that! Ted just wanted to be generous and help a travelling model the best he could, expecting nothing in return. 🙂 I found him to be a lovely host; very hospitable and my room was comfortable with space to do my workout (which I warned Ted about in case he wondered why it sounded like I was dancing around the room - because I was! 😂) He couldn't do enough to make sure I had everything I needed and was really lovely company since it gave us the opportunity to have a little natter before we were to shoot the following day.

The shoot:-

We covered a lot of cool stuff in a half-day shoot, certainly productive with some genuinely nice images created that boasted many qualities: from abstract bodyscapes to cute glamour and even some athletic shapes (I couldn't help myself when I saw his stained glass bay window!) Ted has arranged his home to give him the best of both worlds when shooting: he has plain backgrounds and lighting assembled to give him complete control of lighting the shot to achieve that studio standard, he can also move his lights around to shoot around the house using the rooms and furniture (classic boudoir for example). But on the day of our shoot we just got blessed with the most gorgeous natural light, so one of the best things about Ted's is actually just how much of that top-grade sun he can get, and all the ways that he can use it! 🤩 At one point we added sun stripes to my back, pick a different window and it was softly diffused. I think Ted definitely enjoyed exploring the natural light options around his place too, it's not something you are guaranteed all the time because of course: British weather! But we just struck gold that day and this photographer was constantly evolving from one set to the next with settings all over the shop! He bagged many fabulous pictures though - go for it Ted! 🙌📷

Etiquette:-

I found Ted to be a genuine and good natured gent with a high-spirited personality; someone that I could get on with really easily. 😀 He is enthusiastic and driven for photography too, with a willingness to try things and work as a team with the models listening to suggestions and/or ideas... I'm always much happier when shooting with someone who is happy working this way because I've found that the best shoots come from working together to get the best out of a shoot, so I really appreciate this quality in Ted. 🙂 Also - I found him to be respectful in his approach and mindful to make sure that I was comfortable and content as we worked. We did A LOT of chatting as we made the pictures, probably didn't shut up actually. 😂 Good fun! Needless to say that Ted is someone I would be delighted to shoot with again as he treat me very well on our first ever shoot together.

And that's my recommendation for Ted! Such a lovely photographer, here's to hoping we can catch up again before too long.

Lovely place to shoot in, a relaxed 2 hour shoot which I really enjoyed.

Ted is a lovely person so accommodating, friendly, respectful and great to work with!

Wow, haven't seen / shot with Ted in so long, about 10 years but when I arrived at his home with Rosie Flame, it was like not much time had past plus it was his BIRTHDAY !!

It was ever so much fun, he was welcoming, relaxed atmosphere , fed and watered me and I just couldn't stop smiling throughout.

Thank you for the all the cake.

Highly recommend.

Hope we can do all that again soon, let's not leave it so long.

This is why I model.

Despite having worked with Ted a couple of times beforehand (all great shoots) we hadn't shot for 5 years. Furthermore we accomplished the shoot plan in 45 mins in a 4 hour booking.

The conversation and humour was effortless and we filled the remainder of the time with ease and good content i.e art nude window silhouettes, portraiture and soft glamour.

The house was warm, respect was given and I look forward to going back.
