References for PGD Modelling and Photography Studios

I've had 2 remote sessions at PGD this month, with 6 so far for the year there. It's a great place to work, especially for remote shooting, and Garry did his usual fabulous job in every case. The most recent one involved a lot of furniture moving in addition to the typical light and simple prop setup, but he did it without a complaint. (Alas, we left the studio is a bit of a state at the end; sorry Garry!)

So knowing how much Garry loves multiple references from people i thought i had to leave another one for him and the amazing studio he has created for us to work at :D

So i had the pleasure of shooting at PGD again this evening this time shooting with Nico Dee alongside Mercia Storm,

The shoot went as expected which was fantastic and could not have gone better thanks to a fab studio to shoot in,

Garry was on the ball with making cuppas upon our arrival and man does he make a good cuppa, He kept us going through the shoot being on hand to help with lighting and making those ideas come to life with the set ups! Chatty and superb music playing throughout! Could not ask for a better studio to work at and no doubt Garry is head and shoulders above with running a studio too!

Visited PGD studio yesterday to join Sukinya’s group shoot. I had shot remotely there before but this was my first visit. Gary was very accommodating and made it a lovely day for all. Thank you Gary - best wishes Jann

Did my first remote shoot at PGD on Sunday and honestly loved it! Garry had great pre-comms and explained everything very clearly (as I wondered also what a remote shoot was exactly), and he was very professional, friendly and accommodating! The studio was awesome, filled with different backdrops, props and funky lighting - honestly could never get bored in there. He filled me up with coffee and was a great laugh! Would highly recommend PGD to both models and photographers! 10/10

Another remote at PGD recently with Suki during her studio day there. Garry is always on the ball helping with setups, lighting and making sure the remote goes smoothly. Great remote setup and highly recommend studio.

I had the privilege of spending the day here at PGD and it was certainly a delight!

Garry, the host, was a lovely guy, although we didn't get to shoot together, he was very attentive and friendly, always offering a helping hand or coffees! Very down to earth and I could have just chatted to him all day!

As for the shooting space, it is wonderful. I had the opportunity to work in both the main area and the studio 4 section. Both are great creative spaces, very spacious with a lot of freedom to move. Couldn't ask for a better area really!

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS STUDIO TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE! IT IS A GEM! THANK YOU FOR HAVING ME! :D

I'm going to combine my recommendation, based on 2 remote sessions a few days apart.

PGD and Garry are fantastic to work at/with. Period.

One session was an entirely white-on-white theme, with many many variations. Garry helped set up both pure white backgrounds and white-with-texture ones as desired, and, as usual, done with his usual flair and cheerfulness.

The other, later in the week, was a Hollywood Glamour (1920's-1940's Silver Screen) set, and required multiple prop changes and frequent tweaking of a very focused fresnel. Again, Garry kept things on track, often anticipating my requests before I spoke up.

Very highly recommended!

This was my second time attending PGD and as before I was part of a group that booked PGD for the day for what can only be described as a congregation of chaotic cosplay.

Garry had multiple sets with lights ready for us on the day. He was always on call to support with lighting and set changes. The space is ideal for any creative group with multiple ideas bouncing around.

There is good parking space, plenty of breakout space for people to relax between shoots. So much variety in the lighting equipment and options. I just wish it was a little closer to me so I could use the space more often.

Had my first shoot at PGD today and it was awesome. Really well laid out, spacious set up and all the lighting is either ceiling mounted or on wheels with really good cabling to make trip hazards a non-concern.

Wicked variety of modifiers, backdrops and spaces and bloomin’ fantastic help on tap from Garry, who is as sound as a pound…really knows his lighting and is great to bounce ideas off. Honestly, could have stayed there all day and will certainly be going back now I have a feel for the space…fab way to spend my birthday!

A very big thank you to Garry for his help!!! I did a remote shoot in his studio and Garry was great!! He managed the lighting and different decor perfectly for me, he is fast and super efficient!! I highly recommend it for your shoots!!

I had my first remote shoot at PGD recently, after being to the studio a few times before. The set up was impressive and Gary was helpful with setting everything up throughout!

We shot on grey and white backdrops, with different props and some outfits that the studio had as well as what I'd bought along.

Gary is really down to earth and easy to work with and talk to, even gave me a loft back to the station which was appreciated!

Highly recommended, hope to be back soon :)

Another week, another great remote session at PGD!

Georgia Brown held a model day at PGD a couple of weeks ago, and I finally had the opportunity to work with her. As per usual, Garry was on-hand to set and or tweak the lights, add/move props, provided some wardrobe accessories, and performed all the necessary 'remote hands' functions.

It's a great place for a remote shoot, and if I ever find myself within a few thousand miles of Leicester, will definitely stop by for an in-person shoot as well. (I already wrote that last bit, but it's worth repeating.)

Highly recommended.

Another month (week?), another great remote session at PGD!

A couple of days ago, I worked there with Gia on a couple of my projects. Garry was on-hand to set the lights, move to a different set, add/move props, and perform all the usual 'remote hands' functions.

It's a great place for a remote shoot, and if I ever find myself within a few thousand miles of Leicester, will definitely stop by for an in-person shoot as well.

I was booked for a studio day today and as always was delighted to be back at this wonderful space!

Gary was on hand and absolutely invaluable all day, ensuring myself and all the photographers were comfortable and we're getting exactly what we wanted from each set.

PGD is so versatile as well as having plenty of open space, Gary also managed to find pretty much every weird thing I asked for - allowing us to get some really unique and interesting sets.

No two sets were the same all day and the time flew by!

Another great remote session with Halo Haynes at PGD a few days ago. That makes over 25 shoots there--I've lost the exact count--which should indicate something.

Garry is always on hand to move/tune/gel the lights and set up the various sets. The remote setup at PGDis the best I've encountered, giving direct control over not just the camera, but the lighting power as well, saving a lot of time. (Moving the lights is still manual--I think that's still science fiction--but as noted, Garry has been a wonderful assistant!)

Shot another remote session at PGD, the 14th session I've had there this year.

Garry has always been friendly, profession, and extremely helpful--very important for remote work. The studio's remote setup is the best I've worked with. Major light and set adjustments were obviously handled by Garry, but there's a lot of direct control without requiring outside adjustments. When those adjustments were needed, Garry was readily available, and understood what I was looking for once I gave him the goal.

It's a well-equipped studio, with great remote capabilities, and a very helpful and friendly on-site owner.

I booked 4 hours at PGD studios to photograph Ayla Rose. I had 5 different lighting sets in mind and showed Gary the sort of images that I wanted to achieve from each. Garry immediately understood and delivered the lighting setup for each, clearly exceeding my expectations every time.

Gary is a really creative lighting wizard and an excellent host. His studio is very spacious, comfortable and incredibly well equipped.

I have had many shoots in PGD studios and Garry is always on hand to provide help and advice where needed. The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed

I can't recommend PGD studios more highly

Another great studio day with Garry at PGD! He organised and created a cyper punk ballet look which was very fun!

And he was on hand throughout the whole day setting up lights, back drops etc. Nothing was too much for him!

I can't wait to repeat this event again next month :)
