I had my first shoot with Nick today and had an absolutely splendid time Nick has a very clear creative vision of what he wants to achieve when shooting and his communication skills are second to none we had a wonderful time working together and the time flew by and i am so pleased with what we have created together and was a pleasure to work with i am looking forward to working with him again and already have ideas for our next shoot.

I shot with Nick today for the first time. He wanted to work on an art project inspired by Deborah Turbeville.

Nick was very kind, friendly and made me feel extremely comfortable with his dad jokes! The sun was very bright today and although I was squinting he was very considerate and patient. He has a creative mindset and was very prepared with clear plans during the shoot.

He communicated well before the shoot and he was very organised.

He made me laugh and kept the shoot fun. I would definitely recommend and I look forward to working with Nick again in the near future :)

I met Nicolas when he booked me to work for him at Basford. He was professional in his communication and very polite when we first met. He is a lovely gentle fellow and very easy and relaxed to work with. We did some images outside in the old buildings and garden and some more unusual work for Nicolas's art work. I will be very interested to see the use he makes of our time together....... Thank you Nicolas !

Had a great first shoot with Nick at Basford Hurst Cottage.

His pre communication was perfect and organized. He has lots of creative ideas and has clear plans. Nick is easy to get on with and is friendly and caring.

We shot a good variety of images and he brought a selection of different outfits.

Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

Nick came back to Basford Hurst Cottage to shoot with Ashleigh Rae on her sold out studio day.

Pre comms with Nick were great, everything was organised easily and he arrived on time with everything he needed for the shoot.

Nick is a really nice guy and worked well with Ashleigh throughout their time together. Nick is an established artist and has many strong inspirations for his work. He has a great attention for detail and clearly loves what he does. Importantly as always Nick looked after the location and was always respectful during his time here.

I would have no hesitation to recommend Nick and I hope to see him again soon!! Thank you Nick!!

Having met Nick a couple of times I was thrilled when he asked me if I would shoot with him on a shoot inspired by the fabulous Deborah Turberville.

Nick is very much an artist - He is passionate, creative and knows exactly the sort of images he wants to create. Pre comms with Nick were spot on and I had a really clear idea of the outfits I required.

Nick turned up on time, with some fantastic props including the most beautiful linen dresses / nighties. We worked through many varied sets including swimwear and some darker, 'work house' type shots. I managed to get a quick look at the back of the camera and I loved what I saw!!

Above all Nick is so easy to get along with!! He is completely respectful of myself as the model and we spent so much time chatting and putting the world to right! Nick comes highly recommended from me and I really hope to see him again soon! Thank you Nick!!

Nick came to a workshop run by John Duder to shoot with myself at Basford Hurst Cottage!!

Me and Nick had been in talks for a while organising our own shoot, so when Nick asked if he could come to the lighting workshop as well I was delighted!

Nick is wonderful!!! He's so easy to talk to, incredibly polite and has a great eye for what he wants to achieve in his images! His pre comms were great and he arrived on time fully prepared, ready to shoot.

I thoroughly enjoyed shooting with Nick and I really look forward to seeing the images!! I can't wait for our next shoot and I highly recommend Nick!!! 😁

Nick came to a lighting workshop I ran with Miss_C at Basford Hurst Cottage Studio: he was one of the most thoughtful, careful and focussed photographers I have met at a workshop, ever.

He came with very clear objectives, and worked methodically towards achieving them.

He clearly chooses his equipment with enormous care and precision, and apart from his well-chosen mirrorless camera, he won a special place in my thoughts by bringing a Contax film camera with him. Had I known, I'd have taken a bag of lenses that I still enjoy using, enormously, for him to play with!

Quietly-spoken and both considerate of and polite towards his model, I commend him to models as a serious portraitist, and to studios and fellow-photographers as a fascinating man to work with.

It was my first time meeting Nick and it was an absolute pleasure to be able to get to know him! I’ll call him an artist rather than just a photographer. He has his own vision through the lens and probably sees a whole different world! He’s very friendly and relaxed. I had a particularly enjoyable time as we both were interested in art and could discuss about the concept of creation.

Finally we had our first shoot together yesterday in Birmingham!!

Nick pre communication was fantastic, very organized, lots of ideas and absolutely loved the moodboard he made!

On the day he brought a selection of beautiful clothes; we did few changes shooting around Birmingham.

He knew exactly what he wanted to achieve and was giving me great directions when needed. Can’t wait to see the final results!

Nick is professional, talented, creative artist and also a wonderful human being. Friendly, fun, caring, very much supportive and always with a positive attitude. I felt very comfortable from the start until the end of our shoot.

I highly recommend him to any creatives!!!

Looking forward to our next shoot together, hopefully soon!

Second shoot with nick to day ! Another successful shoot , nick is easy to work with . He knows what he's looking for and the shoot just went by smoothly , he brought a collecting off clothing and we use a few of them and they fitted well . Nick is great photographer lovely person and I highly recommend working with him .. Thankyou Nick for another great shoot!

I’ve just got back from my first shoot with Nick and the first thing I wanted to do was come on here to write him a reference as I honestly cannot recommend him enough.

Pre communication was spot on and Nick made sure I knew the theme for the shoot. Nick provided the clothing which is always super helpful as I don’t have the stress of what to wear!

Nick arrived super early to make sure he was at the location on time and ready to shoot.

Nick was full of ideas and helpfully gave advice on posing as he knew what he was looking for.

We had such a good laugh the time just flew by!

I really hope to get to work with Nick again soon and would highly recommend.

Had a fantastic first shoot for painting with nicholas and it definitely wont be our last !

His pre communication was perfect and arrived on time and was easy to get on with from the get go !

4 hours flew by and im mega excited to see what magic we created when they are finnished.

Today I had an amazing shoot with Nick Liverpool. We had been planning this shoot for a long period of time, starting from time of my moving to England and Nick was one of the first photographers who contacted me to shoot together. So I have such nice impressions of our shoot, Nick creared amazing, easy-going atmosphere, and we did really well, even the weather didn't spoil this shoot, I really enjoyed it. Nick has very many great ideas, and a nice vision of the conception of future shots, so we indeed had nice time today. Looking forward to shoot with Nick again. Wow what can I say ...first shoot with nick and one of the most easiest photographers to work with and the most welcoming humblest person I felt really at easy shooting and was very good at directing the shoot . This was my 3rd shoot with Nick, and as always he has amazing communication and endless ideas for shoots. He gives great direction and makes every photo shoot a breeze, collaborating by bringing along fabrics and outfits. Shooting with Nick is always a pleasure- his creativity and effort is clear and is above and beyond in every snap!

Nick has an unbelievable talent in transforming images he takes (which are breathtaking as they are) into unique and awesome pieces of art. I cannot fault Nick in anyway. He is kind, funny, professional... I cannot recommend him more.
