I spotted Damian’s work a few years ago and have always loved the way he colour grades and gives his work a special feel and look.

I find taking environmental portraits very challenging and at times resort to taking tight crops with telephoto lens and wide apertures if in less than ideal places, blurring undesirable backgrounds. However, Damian loves challenging and less than ideal places, he’s an artist in the way he sees beauty in any given place, I place that you would just simply walk by in real life and wouldn’t think it could be that next best shot, thanks to Damian its all right under our noses if we open our eyes, take time to see, think and feel it, make the elements works and compliment an image by creative framing and positioning, to see the light and making it work for you.

The workshop was both a challenge and very insightful. I’ve learnt more then what I expected and gained some life long friend in the process. Would I recommend this? If people were to ask me every day I would say yes every time. Thanks again for a great workshop and great time. When is the next one? 😉
