OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I have never seen this before. A memorial to the forgotten 14th Army and Field Marshall William "Uncle Bill" 1st Viscount Slim 1891-1970. Born in Bristol, rose to the top and one of only 2 officers I know of (General Sir Peter de la Billiere being the other) that never went to Sandhurst. The meaning of the Burma Star!

The Kohima Poem

"When You Go Home, Tell Them Of Us And Say, For Their Tomorrow, We gave Our Today". by John Maxwell Edmunds [1875-1958]
