Both incredibly talented photographers with the ability to turn an idea into a reality that always exceeds expectations. I can’t recommend them enough and hope to shoot with them again very soon.

Malc greeted me outside and offered to help with my suitcase

He made me feel at ease straight away as I'm fairly new to modelling. He showed me round their beautiful studio and just wow it's amazing, barb offered refreshments thought out and showed me some of their collections of clothes and props. very kind lovely people

I really enjoyed my shoot and learnt alot

Had a great shoot today with malc and Barbara at there new studio, and wow what an amazing place it is, so many sets this place is amazing great ideas.

I would 100% recommend these two outstanding photographers to all and don't forget there outstanding studio if your looking for some where different to shoot from this is definitely the place to go.

I was delighted to be invited back to Catchlight Studios by Malc, and his wife Barb, on Saturday. Our first shoot had been such a fun, productive venture, and our second proved to be just as wonderful.

We’d discussed outfits and styling in depth in our Pre-comms so I arrived with a suitcase full of goodies, excited to see the new outfits and sets Malc and Barb had been working on in the few weeks since my last visit. They did not disappoint! The studio is an Aladdin’s cave of wonderful options, and the outfits they’d set aside felt like they’d been hand picked for me.

Malc is incredibly easy to talk to and is lovely company. He’s kind, caring and funny and always makes sure his models are comfortable and happy.

Together we shot two bellydance looks, a tribal look, two Stevie Nicks inspired outfits, an impromptu pinup style, two Marilyn Monroe inspired outfits; needless to say our time together was varied and productive!

Malc is a wonderful photographer, and I love the images I’ve seen so far from the shoot.

I’d recommend Malc to other models wholeheartedly and I look forward to working with him and Barb again soon! Thanks so much Malc 😊

I was so pleased when Malc, and his wife Barb, asked me to model for them yesterday. I was already at their wonderful studio, Catchlight Pics Studio, with a photographer, and so I stayed for a couple of hours afterwards to shoot some looks we’d discussed.

I first met Malc a few years ago on a location shoot at Dorothy Clive Gardens. He was primarily taking care of the group attending but managed to shoot a few shots with me on the day and both him and Barb made such a lovely and lasting impression on me.

Malc is very kind and easy to talk to, so time spent in his company just flies by. He’s full of creative ideas, and the shoot was exciting and a lot of fun! He was also kind enough to chauffeur me home after the shoot, something I’m incredibly grateful for.

He's obviously a wonderful photographer, and the back of cam images he shared with me on the day were just beautiful!

I’d recommend him to other models wholeheartedly and I look forward to working with him again soon. Thanks so much Malc 😊

I had the most fun shoot with Malc and Barb at their studio. Malc had messaged me and arranged for me to stop over at theirs whilst I was in the area and he and Barb were kind enough to host me at their place.

The shoot was fabulous, we shot several sets in various looks and Malc was brilliant to work with.

Professional and chatty, I was comfortable and happy throughout the shoot and we collaborated on ideas.

One of the most lovely people I have had the pleasure of working with, I simply adored working with Malc.

I cannot recommend Malc highly enough and hope to work again with him soon!

Another fantastic shoot with Barb and Malc at there wonderful studio!

Full of fantastic ideas - we shot a style I had never done before it was amazing! Barb and Malc are very professional and create a relax and comfortable atmosphere to shoot in. Both so easy to work and to get along with.

I would obviously 100% recommend them.

I had such a wonderful time shooting with Malc and Barb for the first time at my Aura studio day :)

Malc and Barb truly are such kind, thoughtful people. They looked after me incredibly well, as it was a rather cold day in the studio, but they ensured I was comfortable at all times!

Not only that but they are so friendly and down to earth, it was so easy chatting to them and the time really flew by!

They brought along various different outfits with them which were beautiful and the whole shoot was just great fun!

I honestly can't recommend them more highly, and do hope to catch up with them again :)

WOW!!! what can I say yet again another fantastic shoot working with both Malc and Barb at there studio.

They always have great ideas and the shoot is always professional, they have some many amazing clothing, equipment and props to use and work with.

There studio is an amazing place to shoot from with so many different things to shoot with and great set up.

I fully enjoyed the shoot today and definitely would work with malc and Barb again. 100% recommend to all models.

This was a belter of a day!!! 😀

Shooting with the photographer couple (Malc and Barb Lander) who are quite possibly the most creatively-charged, fun and upbea, plus down-to-earth pair that you could meet... I was absolutely snowed-under with the most MENTAL times as a model/events organiser; facing not one - but two huge abroad events confirmed to be happening very last minute courtesy of the powers-that-be announcing last minute that it was allowed. So to say that I was running around like a blue-arsed fly with no time do do anything was an understatement. 😂 However - it has GOT to be said that despite all the madness, I feel OVERJOYED to have managed to shoot with this delightful duo. We really did have the best day exploring locations around my tropical gaff that is Yorkshire, had some funny encounters, and most certainly came away with some smashing images. 🥰

In the early stages of setting the shoot up - it was Malcolm who I actually dealt with in pre-shoot communications. He was a star; given that I was slow at my end with all the chaos I was juggling at the time. No stress/frustration at this though - he was really understanding and that goes for miles even in good/more relaxed times... Let alone when you're in the midst of managing a business during a pandemic and don't know whether you're coming or going with rule changes! We still managed to bounce no end of ideas around before we had even met up - come the day, we had a playground of creativity waiting for us. It really was all go with all the best kinds of buzz and innovative teamwork! 😀 Malc was our trusty designated driver and kindly picked me up at mine so that we didn't have to worry about limited parking or anything at the locations and so I could direct without losing each other. It worked! Good prep is always a major key to success. I have always said that. 😊

Malc has a keen eye for an image! He is willing and ready to try out all sorts of ideas and touches to see what works in a picture - all the while he will work closely with the models whom he and Barb have hired to enable the model to bring out their strengths/skillsets at the venue or location. It's so important to get this balance because you're all there with the goal of getting the best images you can - and working together is the first paramount rule of any good collaborative atmosphere. 🙌 Every location we visited had something different - this included how much light was available, the composition challenges, and what outfits would work where. A lot to think about! For one thing - Malc and Barb bring a lot of garments and accessories themselves and really think about the styling aspect; which was applied beautifully, I must say, at the different sites and settings. 😁 The light, on the other hand, posed all manner of challenges - any location work essentially means you are at the mercy of the elements to some degree, but particularly in places like the derelict mill we visited; the light levels were sometimes very low. Well this didn't phase Malc anyhoo! 😛 He never stopped once fiddling with his camera to accommodate the environment and pull out a serene (or edgy, or quirky!) photo from this bouncing little Duracell Bunny prancing around a location that the general public wouldn't glance twice at! It's definitely an *Industry Code* thing... And Malc's sure got it with one-helluva splendid photography eye.

A whole day of epic adventureness with these guys went waaaaay too fast! 👀 It was literally: *blink* and the last set was a wrap! When this happens, it's basically confirmation that the day has been fun, and the company has been rather good indeed. 😄 The giveaway was the non-stop chattering we were doing and putting the world to rights haha! They really are a cool set of folksies, on top of which; their hearts totally in the right place! Professionalism was on form - it's evident that they go by the policy to make their models feel completely at ease, well looked after and comfortable. They have been on the circuit for a while/shot with many fellow professional models I know of both in-person and online - all of whom have lovely things to say in references (as I do!) 😊 In fact the minute I posted my "back of cam" spoilers post on social media another model popped up saying how fond of the couple she was herself, and how it's always nice working with them.

So I think you can probably gather by now - it's definitely a "highly recommended" from the Lesser-Spotted Keira Bird of Yorkshire. 😉

Had a wonderful shoot with the incredible duo of Barb and Malc. From the moment I arrived the atmosphere was friendly and comfortable, the conversation flowed so naturally.

They had a number of gorgeous outfits, accessories, and props we could use. Time flew by. They are professional and make the model feel comfortable throughout, not to mention provided Jaffa Cakes and cups of tea!

We shot in Catchlight Pics Studio (their little studio), a building so full of character, that has plenty to offer. Not to mention, the surrounding locations are absolutely stunning.

They ensured I had enough time to warm up and really let me have free reign over posing and sets.

From the moment I pulled up into the meeting place they were all smiles and conversation! The hours flew by and it was so productive.

The shoot atmosphere was relaxed and between sets, the conversation flowed wonderfully, and so did the Jaffa cakes!

They brought a beautiful dress for me to wear and were happy for me to choose the locations.

They are professional, reliable and make the model comfortable, I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with these two amazing people.

We shot over three days this time, constantly coming up with new ideas and areas to shoot. It was such a fun and creative shoot and, as ever, they're such a lovely pair to spend time with and are so passionate about creating fabulous images.

Had a wonderful couple of half-day shoots with Malc and Barb!

They're absolutely lovely people to spend time with and to chat to, and I was made to feel very comfortable the whole time. They work super well as a team and are very enjoyable people to work with. Although the weather wasn't entirely on our side, we were able to get some awesome shots in the autumnal Lake District landscape - they both have a great eye for photography!

I'd definitely recommend working with Malc and Barb, and I can't wait to shoot with them again in the future.

I had a half day shoot with Barb and Malc last week during my tour!

Barb and Malc have a lovely studio location and I really enjoyed the morning.

Before my arrival I knew the plan of the shoot- there were inspiration images and props to work with. Barb and Malc were both very open to hear my ideas on angles and lighting- which was great. I suggested a single softbox above and we got some really cool and moody shots to show off the texture of the walls around me.

They always bring the most amazing ideas to the table- refreshing and unique.

Incredible set ups and styling ideas.

The atmosphere is always a perfect balance between laid back and professional - keen to achieve the shot.

They are most accommodating, with a pre heated studio, and ensure that I remain fuelled with tea breaks and Jaffa cakes!
