An evening location shoot with studio lighting. Mave turned up for the shoot on location along with her chaperone exactly on time and as agreed. Communications were excellent, we were able to choose and agree on the costume and overall look online prior to the shoot. Everything was pre-planned down to the last detail. Mave even confirming that she could ride a bicycle! Consequently Mave arrived at the location with excellent makeup and hair, and in the prior agreed outfit. Mave waited patiently while I took time to rig the lighting and equipment and once we started shooting everything went like clockwork. Mave took direction well and later made good suggestions and modelled freestyle. It was an absolute pleasure working with this young lady and I'm looking forward to shooting with Mave again, hopefully in the not to distant future.

I'd also like to thank Mave's chaperone who provided willing assistance while maintaining a discrete distance during the shoot, along with an extra level of security for a location shoot in a public place.

So overall an excellent shooting experience with exactly the pre-visualised outcome.

Mave is an excellent model and also pretty good on a bicycle!

Just finished backing-up all the images from my second day-long shoot with the lovely Mave D. We spent most of the day finishing off ideas left over from our last shoot together - extending the theme of "modern girl does vintage". One of which was replicating a vintage foundation-wear ad. This is something for which she has the perfect slim, shapely petite figure.

Mave D brought a suitcase full of outfits which she blended very skilfully with ours. She has a distinctive style of her own. The idea is to blend that with a very different style and see what transpires as a result.

Same as last time, she was accompanied by her partner Niall and we captured some tome out to get some rather nice snaps of them together. This added a fun, humorous yet genuinely romantic element to the shoot, which gave the day an especially pleasant vibe.

I'd say she also seemed rather more relaxed in front of the camera than last time. In fact the shoot had an altogether gentler mood this time. Of course this tends to happen on second shoots because the team all know each other better.

All-in-all this was a very enjoyable and productive shoot and I look forward to working with Mave D and Niall again in the future.

Clearing up the studio and backing up the images following a fabulous day-long shoot with the delightful Mave D.

She arrived at my studio with a large suitcase packed with outfits and props just in case they were needed. She was chaperoned by her B/F Niall, who would definitely be a finalist in the “Nicest Chaperone of the Year” award, if such a contest existed.

Usually she classes herself as an “alternative” model. But today we thought it would be fun to give her a bit of “retro treatment”. So we filmed her doing some old-style fitness routines, whilst modelling some vintage figure-shaping swimwear, girdles and corsets. It was all designed to give her that classic hourglass vintage shape. It worked too – beautifully! Seems she is a very versatile and adaptable model indeed.

Lovely model, lovely person and highly recommended.

An enjoyable two hour urban location shoot. Mave arrived on time, and brought along an extensive selection of outfits to use on the shoot.

Happy to pose and freely create shapes, the shoot soon produced some great images.

Great, easy going personality, I would happily shoot with Mave again and recommend her to other photographers

First chance to shoot with the lovely Mave. Communications on the lead up to the shoot were brilliant so a clear idea of what we are shooting on the day. Mave came to the shoot fully prepared for any eventuality. During the shoot Mave grew into her routine and was confident to suggest ideas throughout as well as allowed me to direct her into poses. Mave has a relaxed style and a good sense of humour and coupled with a creative side made for a good shoot. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Really great first shoot with Mave. On location at an old Abbey she really worked hard to create fantastic photos despite the evening being quite cold. She has a lovely personality and very willing to follow my ideas and add in plenty of her own. We had a lot of fun doing the shoot with plenty of scope and variety of poses and costumes all within the style. I highly recommend Mave and look forward to working with her again soon.

Good shoot with Mave who arrived with the largest suitcase I have seen, packed full to bursting with outfits. Shooting was a lot of fun but at the same time producing some really good images. Her partner/chaperone was a god send being able to move her into positions I wanted. With such a good session time just flew by. Really want to work with Mave again.

Its all about the Light

Had first shoot with Mave, Good comms arrived with loads of outfits. Took direction really well and was able to improvise when required. A lovely lady and great to work with look forward to working with her again, Highly recommended.

Great shoot with Mave last Saturday. Unfortunately the weather deteriorated rapidly turning cold and wet - however, there were no complaints and Mave just soldiered on and we managed to capture some great images

Pre-shoot comms were excellent, she arrived on time and with a good selection of outfits. Easy recommendation and hope to work with her again in the future

This is my second time working with Mave, and for a more glowing reference, read my first one! It was so worth bringing her up to the studio for the whole weekend as it meant we didn't have to rush, and today of course, it meant we could start earlier.

Today's shoot with Mave came in three parts, and for each we had a rough plan of what we hoped to achieve. The first sets of the day we spent in the studio and involved a couple costume changes - she looked awesome obviously! The rest of the day we spent outdoors, firstly on the old fire escape attached to the building - doing our best to avoid spiders and tetanus! Our day concluded in the graveyard of St. Nicholas' Church in Ashchurch, which was lovely. It had some old tombstones and graves that made for some interesting props, and there was also an abundance of trees and shrubs to give cover and make for nice backdrops too. We ended the day by sacrificing Mave to the Photography Gods on an altar we found... Neil was present throughout and like yesterday, was a great help to me, and even joined in with some fun shots!

With the Sun beginning to fade, we called it a day and all headed home... I can only speak for myself, but expect it was true for Mave and Neil - quite pooped and ready for a proper sit down! But it was a good pooped - the sort you're happy about because you'd done/achieved something worthwhile!

Mave and her boyfriend Neil visited the studio today for the first time, and shot with a couple of togs over the course of the weekend.

Mave is an absolute joy to be around, and the shoots from start to finish went smoothly and were a lot of fun.

We hope Mave enjoyed her time at the studio, and can't wait to have her back. Thoroughly recommended!

Had the first of what I hope will be many shoots with the marvellous Mave today!

We connected a few weeks prior to this shoot, and despite her living a good couple hours away, I knew I had to entice her up to the studio soon, ideally for the entire weekend! So to make the journey more worthwhile, I asked around and found someone else keen to shoot with her too. I'd of happily shot with Mave for the entire weekend myself, but I felt it was important as a new model she got some variety.

Despite the fact I was away for 10 days on holiday before our shoot, all pre-shoot comms with Mave were top notch! She is super-responsive and prior to the shoot, actively collaborated on Pinterest with me, and after a couple of tutorials is now a jedi master with the tool!

As for the shoot itself, we did this at my studio. Mave brought over a ton of outfits and looked awesome in all the ones we decided upon. For someone who hasn't been modelling very long, Mave poses well and soaks up all the direction and advice offered like a sponge. As is now typical for my shoots, our first set was done in the Big White Box, and we had a ton of fun here. I should mention that her boyfriend Neil accompanied her and was awesome throughout, and helped me immensely (much thanks). For some of the trickier poses in the Box that Mave fearlessly wanted to attempt, it was great to have him help her safely position herself. As for the studio floor, we used the cubes and got some great shots if the back of the camera were anything to go by.

As well as being a natural beauty, Mave has a truly wonderful demeanour, and I enjoyed our day immensely. After my shoot she had a few hours or more with John (Orpentog) and unsurprisingly was pooped when the cameras were finally turned off. Although John was unable to join us, the rest of us went out to dinner to talk about the day's shoot, the one to follow tomorrow, and just chill generally as we were all tired.

I definitely hope to work with Mave again... but no hope is needed, as I'll be doing that tomorrow!! It will come as no surprise though to learn that I recommend her wholeheartedly, and will be dragging her up to the studio again soon, OR even venturing South myself.

Light and Darker

Had a great shoot with Mave this morning, she came well prepared with loads of clothes and having suggested the location led me around to all the good bits. A lovely chatty, beautiful model who came up with a lot of good ideas and was happy to try mine. Only problem was we didn't have time to talk about her Masters in Photonics(!). Highly recommended.

Mina is new to the modelling scene but we had a really good first shoot together tonight. Mina had great communication before the shoot and brought loads of great outfit options to the location. She is a very bubbly personality and came up with plenty of ideas on the shoot for poses and shots. As I say, she is very new but I think the more she shoots, she will become a natural at modelling! Would definitely recommend.
