References for Larry James

Well yet another very successful shoot with Larry yesterday and as I have mentioned before he just goes all out on his shoots!

Pre comms perfect as expected, picked me from the station and dropped me off so I didn’t get lost between our location and the station, he came very well prepared with lighting, gels, and lens changes but he had picked such an awesome place to shoot we didn’t really need flash until the very end.

Not only had Larry sourced an unusual location that had 4 floors, and several hidden rooms, I also got to finally work with the lovely Amy Rose!

Larry has just three rules when you shoot with him:

1). Stay safe!

2). Have fun!

3). If we get some good shots it’s a bonus!

This^^^^ is something all photographers should think about. Safety on shoots is paramount, it should be fun for all involved otherwise why are you doing it, and it’s always great if you can get the shots you’re after. This one has his priorities in order!

It was such a fun day of exploring, playing with lights, experimenting on staircases, and getting some seriously cool shots, I really don’t know how we’re going to top this one but I know Larry will give me another challenge and wicked experience. Can NOT wait to see these shots!

Fanbloodytastic! So great to work with Larry again so soon after our first shoot, and I've gotta say Larry doesn't do anything by half!

Our last shoot being at my War and Peace Location, and then this weeks being at a Falconry where we spent the day shooting with tons of different birds :)

Just as before Larry's pre comms were on point and he arrived early and ready to shoot, loads of lenses and full of enthusiasm as usual. We got through some beautiful sets of big ball gowns, and two gothic looks. I can't say just how much fun we had shooting with the majestic birds, already seeing some incredible shots with his 300mm lens! It's just so much fun shooting with Larry as he makes the shoots interesting and relaxed making for better shots in my opinion and he's so easy going, not to mention he really looks after his models by making sure your warm and happy with the shots.

I can honestly say I can see Larry going far with his photography, and I'm of course excited for our next shoot as I know it will be a great challenge :)

Wow what a brilliant first shoot! Excellent pleasure working with Larry last Friday at my War and Peace Location :)

Pre comms were great especially as this was a fairly last minute shoot due to the availability of the location, Larry knew exactly what he wanted to shoot making it super easy for me to pack, Larry arrived on time to pick me up and we drove down the road to the location.

We had a quick look around the location to get an idea of where we wanted to start, in our 4 hours we got through some awesome sets of big ball gowns, dresses, a bit of dance, some grungy fashion, and finished off the day with some beautiful art nudes! Only a couple of days later and I'm seeing some fantastic shots from the day, and can't wait to see more :D

Larry was an absolute gentleman the whole day, very chatting, so easy to have a laugh with, it was brilliant seeing how excited he was by the location and all the ideas he had, and a great eye for detail, I can really see this photographer going far. So I can of course easily and highly recommended Larry to any model, and I really hope to work with him again in the near future.

I have worked with Larry twice now! The first time he attended a studio lighting masterclass that myself and Richard Egan ran in Harrogate! (Did not leave a reference as Larry was not on pp)!

He was a dream on the masterclass! Attentive, enthusiastic and very considerate!! He asked if I was comfortable lots and was generally lovely to work with! It was his first experience with model photography- not that you'd tell as he seems a dab hand at it!

I was extremely pleased when he booked onto an event I organised at guys cliff. This was an exciting event which hosted 4 models. Photographers rotated around each model then came together at the end to shoot all 4.

Larry came with a wonderful smile and a great attitude! Larry is a very skilled photographer and it was wonderful to see him apply his skills to his second model shoot! I'm hoping his joining pp means he has caught the big as his work is really fabulous and he is a pleasure to work with!

He works quickly and efficiently- is respectful, professional and lovely company!

I would highly recommend Larry and I hope we get to shoot again soon!
