Great first shoot with Alicia at her home. It was a relaxed shoot covering different levels. She has an amazing ability to move into a pose I am thinking of, before I say anything! We produced some great images and I am hoping to work with her again soon.

It was real pleasure to work with Alicia and I recommend her 110%!

This was my 2nd shoot with Alicia, this time in my flat. As other photographers have said Alicia is a natural in front of the camera, and loves to chat too. She was definitely in the mood for being a little bit experimental so I was able to try some shoot ideas that I hadn't done before, which lead to a fun shoot for both of us.

Definitely one to shoot if you get the chance.

What a breath of fresh air and an outstanding model is Alicia Black!

I had my first shoot with her yesterday and I can honestly say I cannot wait for the next one!

Alicia’s style, as well as her beauty, is unique and I love all the images we have created in our first, albeit short, shoot.

What makes her unique is, not only her raw natural beauty and flawless posing but also her refreshing personality and directness, which makes her beautiful inside as well as out. Add to that the fact that she understands photography from both sides of the lens (she is an accomplished photographer, as well as a model), and you get a truly unique package.

As a photographer, I always enjoy comparing notes with other photographers as I feel we can all learn from each other (learning never ends, in any field …)

With Alicia you get an outstanding model and an accomplished photographer in one package - although I’ve no doubt she can just be a model if you feel you know everything there is to know about photography (but then you wouldn’t know what you are missing out!)

I cannot recommend Alicia highly enough and I am really excited to be shooting again and again with her in the very near future.

Had a brilliant shoot with Alicia in the sunshine in Coventry today after a late change of plan. Our original graffiti shoot in Bristol will have to wait until next time, and since the graffiti in Coventry isn't as cool, we completely changed plans to shoot round the ruins of the old Coventry cathedral instead, to be followed by a little jaunt into the Warwickshire countryside.

The ruins were a great choice of location by Alicia, with many photogenic nooks and crannies around a wide open central area, with beautiful stonework all around - and none of the light problems normally faced with shooting in cathedrals! ;-p (It's awful that such a building ended up in this state, of course, but you know what they say: "Always look on the bright side of life"...!) Actually, we had a little too much light today, but we managed to work around it, mostly by running away from it instead of chasing around after it like we normally do! xD Alicia's styling was spot-on too: a beautiful white jumpsuit - classy and dazzling in the sunshine :-)

Alicia is a dream to get along with in a shoot, even on a first time shoot with her as I recall from well over two years ago, so after many shoots together we have established a great working relationship and were able to get some fabulous shots in a short space of time :-) Last time out we finally snagged an FPI after too long waiting; fingers crossed that it won't be such a long wait until another comes our way...!

We then headed back to her place for coffee and more of a catch-up before setting out for the countryside, now with softer early evening light, but Lady Luck was not smiling on us today and a puncture en route put paid to the rest of our shoot :-/ Not the best timing, but in a way it was lucky for Alicia to have a friend with her to fit the spare wheel, and I certainly count myself lucky to be able to call such a beautiful and talented lady as Alicia a friend ;-)

Thank you, Alicia, for sending me home with another sackful of beautiful photos even when it was only possible to get half a shoot done!

Highly recommended, as always :-)

Had another lovely shoot with Alicia yesterday, and I am grateful to her for making the shoot a success (as it always is with this talented young lady!) despite having to change plans at the last minute, thus ensuring that my day off work wasn't wasted. She showed great adaptability and resourcefulness as our planned city-based shoot first became a countryside shoot, and then ended up indoors when the weather took a turn for the worse and forced us to change plans again!

After a long drive up to the Midlands to meet her, she kindly drove us to a nearby location in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside. Unfortunately, it turned out to be surprisingly cold and windy on a day of quickly changing weather but she was a trooper for braving the elements to go ahead with some cheeky art nude shots before we were forced to turn back (and also interrupted anyway by some other pesky people that turned up ;-)) Back at her place she wasted no time in getting on with our completely unexpected indoor shoot. She does this with the greatest of ease, with all the photography gear necessary readily at hand, along with more new outfits to shoot in than I could shake a stick at -- which is great news for many more shoots to come! :-)

It was a disappointment to us both to still not manage a proper location shoot, but such is a the great British summer... We got plenty of fabulous shots anyway in spite of the damn weather, and have already arranged a new date for another attempt at our original plan :-) And looking on the positive side, it's really cool that she has such a nice place to shoot from to act as a back-up plan if it does turn out that the weather is poor. Plus I was able to enjoy a good supply of coffee and the company of the aptly named Bella (Alicia's cat) during much of the shoot ;-)

Thank you, Alicia, for never giving up, and for always being such a pleasure to work with :-)

Alicia, was and still is on my bucket list of people I would like to photograph, as I liked working with her, and I hope we will again. She offered to pick me up from the station. Alicia had converted one of the rooms in her house into a ‘model room’ where there is various props and lighting, it’s well lit with natural light. Alicia is a dab hand with photography herself and I found her advice very good. Teas were on steady supply, the company good, but my time was short. I will make it longer next time.

Yesterday I was lucky enough to go time-travelling with my favourite photography friend, on a trip from the Georgian times of her previous flats in Bath to the Victorian era of her home in Coventry, which she has spent tireless months renovating with DIY skills that are on a par with her impressive modelling and photography skills :-) I shouldn't be surprised really, but I still was anyway ;-) It's a big house with much still to be done but already the hallway, landing and a large room for shooting in have been completely transformed, finally being given the love that they deserve after too many years of neglect. It's typical of Alicia's phenomenal drive and energy that she even had the will-power to take on such a large project almost single-handedly.

The main shooting room has an original Victorian fireplace, a vertical designer radiator, an enormously high ceiling and enjoys splendid light: Large windows with white wooden blinds let in plenty of light, which bounces all around the white walls and ceiling, not to mention off two mirrors and a huge clock/mirror, which is a most unusual and photogenic feature... as is the huge chandelier - the centre-piece of the room :-) It all makes for an excellent space for shooting in, with much sparkliness from many quarters in every shot.

Most sparkly and photogenic of all, of course, is the ever-lovely Alicia, still in top form even after months largely away from the photography world expanding on her DIY skills instead. We got some beautiful shots, both of us being inspired by new outfits and new surroundings, and it's always such a pleasure to catch up with her each time we meet. It was especially nice on this occasion to see something of her home town and background, plus gain an appreciation of the many hours of travel that she used to put in coming down to Bath as often as she did: This time it was me doing the leg-work, but if there's one thing that Coventry is definitely worth visiting for then it's a shoot with Alicia :-) Book yours now - you won't be disappointed!

Thank you for another lovely shoot, Alicia, and for welcoming me to your beautiful home :-) Looking forward to many more visits in the future :-)

Today's miserable weather was greatly brightened up by the arrival of the ever-lovely Alicia, who very kindly travelled down to meet me at an apartment/hotel that I booked in her old haunt, Bath, to save me a long journey in a hideous hire car that I have whilst my own car is repaired after someone recently drove into the back of it. In fact, I'm very grateful to have shot with her at all right now since she's still busy doing amazing renovation works at her house and hence hasn't been shooting for a while. She was also super kind in rearranging the shoot for today after our initial arrangement for yesterday fell through due to the hotel messing up the booking.

Needless to say, in the time in which she's been away from modelling, Alicia has lost none of her magical talents for simultaneously modelling to perfection whilst also taking a keen interest in the photography side of things, helping me with endless adjustments to lighting and camera setup to improve the shots. She really is the most amazing "model-ographer", as someone else recently referred to this rare breed of all-in-one model/photographer! :-)

We balanced what natural light there was with Alicia's flash and beauty dish, which I sadly parted company with at the end of our shoot today, after having had it on loan from her for about six months while she's been away from shooting! Massive thanks to her for that; it's made countless shoots better during the time that I've been using it, and I will certainly now be buying similar kit myself, having become thoroughly dependent on it!

Highly recommended as always: As a beautiful model, talented photographer and kind-hearted person who is always willing to help, you can't do much better than to book a shoot with Alicia as soon as she's back to full-time modelling :-)

Thank you again for today, Alicia. Looking forward to next time :-)

It's been a little longer than anticipated since I last shot with Alicia in Bath due to the most impressive lengths she's been going to in getting her new shooting location ready (typical of her general attitude of nothing being too much trouble to get the best shots!), but I was lucky enough to arrange a shoot with her today in a hugely discounted hotel room in Solihull.

She arrived bang on time so we were able to make full use of the limited hours we had the room for. A little dry, cracked skin on her hands was the only visible sign of all the hard labour she's put in over the last two months; otherwise you'd never know there had been any pause in her modelling work! She was straight back into it with her usual combination of energy, inspiration and beauteous good looks, plus we had a good laugh and a catch-up too :-) I couldn't want anything more from a shoot, so Alicia is still 100% recommended by me :-)

Midway through the shoot a PurplePort notification arrived, informing me that it's my second "birthday" on this site. Alicia was the first model I contacted two years ago when I joined, and it was clearly an excellent choice because two years later we're still going strong with regular shoots! I've learned so much from her in that time, and have made a great friend too :-) We still have countless plans and ideas for the future and I'm excited to think what else we may yet achieve together.

Thank you for sparing some time in your hectic life to shoot today, Alicia, and thank you as always for your kindness and generosity over the last two years. Long may it continue! :-)

Finally got to meet and shoot with Alicia despite the best efforts of Covid, the M4 and GWR all trying to stop us. Well worth the wait, she was a pleasure to work with and the camera loves her. Not much I can add to all the previous references so I'll just say how highly recommended she is and encourage all to work with her.
