Had an absolutely amazing shoot with Andy yesterday, he’s very polite and respectful, very chatty which made time fly by.

He lad loads of great ideas for the shoot and a plan to follow, I am over the moon with the few photos I have seen so far and cannot wait to see the rest!

The studio is everything you could want with different sets and a great selection of props.

The shoot was very laid back and gave me plenty of breaks between sets which was helpful.

Definitely recommend, looking forward to the next shoot

Another fabulous studio with Andy at Kempston Studio, this time with the amazing Hattie Grace.

It has been far too long since I last shot at Kempston, but it was like 'going home'!! Andy is the perfect host and always on hand to set things up, give advise / suggestions...or to just have the craic! Makes a mean cup of tea too!

After shooting with Andy a few times now I knew that Kempston studio was the place I wanted to host my first studio day from.

He made organising nice and simple, I picked a date and he handled the rest.

Andy has fitted the studio with everything you could ever need for a shoot and is completely dedicated to helping everyone get the best possible images out of their time.

Throughout the day he was amazing, making everyone feel welcome, offering drinks and setting up lights and sets based off of what each photographer wanted to capture.

During the times in the shoot when he wasn’t needed he’s constantly on the go and really cares about what he does and you can see it from the way he was steaming and repairing clothes, organising and editing images.

He was lovely to chat to when not shooting and always gives great feedback and advice if needed and is just a genuinely great person to be around and learn from.

He made everyone feel welcome and made my first studio day the best possible experience it could be, I really feel happy and comfortable in the studio and can’t wait to host another studio day and shoot with Andy.

If hesitant about shooting at the studio or with Andy, don’t be!! Highly recommend and can’t wait to be back 😊

Working at Kempston Studio with Andy was an absolute pleasure yet again! Andy truly runs a top-notch studio, and his dedication to providing a fantastic experience for photographers and models alike is evident in every detail. I'd run some of my workshops at Kempston Studio in the past and it was really great to see him again, but this time for a model shoot with the talented Sin Yu Chan.

The studio itself is a dream for any creative endeavour. From the variety of sets to the impeccable lighting setup, it's a space where your vision can truly come to life. Plus, it's so well-organized and equipped that you'll find everything you need right at your fingertips.

But beyond the studio's physical attributes, Andy's warmth, generousity and expertise truly set Kempston apart. He goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone feels welcome, comfortable, and supported throughout the entire process. Andy's care and attention to detail make all the difference when it comes to ensuring that a shoot flows smoothly.

This is my first time shooting and hosting a studio day at Kempston studio. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. Firstly, Andy is a lovely host. He always responds to my messages promptly. He was very kind to pick me up from Bedford station as I don't drive. He bought me some lunch before heading to the studio which was very gracious of him. The studio itself was very well equipped with a great variety of props and sets. Andy had a collection of clothes in the dressing room larger than mine. It's a very fun and professional environment to work in, I can definitely see the appeal and why so many models have shot here. Andy stayed throughout the session to take care of any issues with lighting, background changes etc. Everything is very well organised which made my experience more relaxing. Overall, I along with many others highly recommend Kempston studio. You're in good hands working with Andy. I'm looking forward to coming back in May and would definitely host more studio days here.

I have been to this studio several times before my shoot with Sin Yu Chan and Andy has alway been most helpful moving furniture around, setting up lights and giving advice when asked. It is a great studio and Andy has packed a lot into the space available. I am always happy to come here and am looking forward to my next visit in a few weeks.

This was my first shoot at Kempston Studio and I can't recommend it highly enough. The studio is very well equipped but Andy made the session especially enjoyable and productive . He was warm and welcoming and was extremely helpful in re arranging lighting ,the set etc. He is clearly a very skilled photographer and gave me really constructive advice. In fact I booked another session there and then in anticipation of another great photoshoot .

Had a wonderful SOLD OUT Studio Weekend at Kempston Studio.

Prior to the event pre-communication was fabulous and everything was organised amazingly by the wonderful Andy, he knows his stuff! It was very easy to update each other as slots were selling and how things were going, plus plans leading up to the weekend. Andy even helped me with my Travel routes too and found a direct bus the X5 from Cambridge direct which I didn’t even know existed until Andy helped me.

Andy kindly collected me from the Bus station and also to my hotel after the Studio Day and to other places I needed to get to as well. He really went above and beyond for me. Andy was so kind and lovely offering refreshments and help for the photographers and drinks for them as well. He really makes the studio what it is and his drive and energy is just amazing.

Andy had some fabulous lighting equipment, sets and backdrops and plenty of space to shoot! What a blast and such a successful weekend. We have already already planned out next Studio weekend for November and have been discussing a latex event too.

110% recommended! Thanks Andy for being such a wonderful person and Studio owner.

I am very happy with my shoot with Andy at @Kempston studio, it was such a fantastic experience.

Pre-communication was on spot, and communication on the day was very friendly,relaxed and easy-going so I really enjoyed our shoot.

Andy’s studio is amazing and he made use of all equipment and set ups available so we had a lot of fun shooting together. Studio is very well-equipped and I loved the charging room as well and overall the studio is really lovely and warm.

Andy set up impeccable light and we did a lot of different things as Andy has been very creative and enthusiastic.

Andy is a pleasure to shoot with, he is 100% confident in his photography, knows what he does and amazing photos he takes speak for themselves.

Andy is a superb host, very welcoming and friendly and always willing to help out with lighting and moving bits and pieces around to suit your requirements. I like to keep the lighting very simple and Andy set this up for me very quickly.

The studio is very well equipped indeed with masses of lighting/props/backdrops to use and Andy makes the place a very safe environment for the models to use.

Thank you to Andy for a very successful first visit to Kempston Studio. Andy is very organized, enthusiastic and willing to do all the heavy lifting on set.

I arrived early to get the grand tour, then coffee, then we got the lighting out for the first set-up. I’m used to just doing this all by myself, but Andy insists on being the assistant, so I let him get everything rigged up as required.

This was only my second time in a themed studio. The sets are well designed and practical, with a sensible, neutral colour palette, and the furniture and props all work well together. To those of us used to working in professional studios, the space is not huge by any means, but it is perfectly adequate for shooting a single model for glamour sets. The models certainly enjoy working at the studio, so that is always a good sign. A happy model is a productive model!

So, an excellent host; a practical work space; lighting modifier choices to suit your requirements; and happy models. What more could you want? Highly recommended.

I have worked at Kempston Studio many times. This is by far my favourite professional studio to work at! The possibilities are almost endless as to what you're able to create in the studio. SO many sets and everything is interchangeable so it really is very versatile! Andy is ALWAYS on hand to set things up, move things around, make tea/coffee and even supply a HUGE amount of clothes, shoes and accessories for models to use!

The facilities for both models & photographers are superb! It's super important for me to feel comfortable and Andy definitely goes above and beyond to make this happen.

Highly, highly recommended to anybody wishing with work at this amazing studio!

Back at Kempston for the second time this year, for a shoot with Tanya Modele, and another fantastic shoot.

Andy is a great host - good-natured and friendly, ready to keep photographer & model supplied with coffee, But he’s also a great help with the lighting, whether you have a clear idea of the set up you want, the kind of image you want, or if you’re just experimenting. For example, the shoot with Tanya started with some standard portrait lighting, but by the end we had Andy working with multiple gels and he took all our changing of ideas and comments of “too dark” , “more orange”, etc in his stride!

Thanks as ever Andy. Highly recommended.

Kempston Studio absolutely deserves a 5-star rating! I recently participated in 3 sold-out studio days there, and the entire experience was incredible.

Andy, the owner, is the heart and soul of the studio. His kindness and warm hospitality made me feel comfortable and welcome throughout all three days. He even went above and beyond, spoiling me with delicious pecan pastries and the best samosas I've ever had!

The highlight of my time at Kempston Studio was a dedicated 4-hour shoot with Andy himself. Not only is he incredibly talented, but his friendly personality makes him a joy to work with. We collaborated on some fantastic photos, and I can't wait to see the final results!
