Finally we got to shoot remotely together!!

Jonathan and I have been in touch for a while and finally last week we managed a 2 hours remote shoot at PGD studio in Leicester with the assistence of Garry.

Pre communication was great, jonathan explained what he wanted to achieve. On the day we produced not only many different images with different style and set uo but also we had great fun and laughs.

I like his enthusiasm and great energy during the shoot. Together we went through the images after the shoot. Happy with them and the final edits he sent!

Thank you so much Jonathan for the experience and I hope we can shoot together again and who knows.. maybe one day in real life!

Jonathan and I have known about each other for a couple of years now, and he's worked with models through me remotely, but this was our first remote shoot together and it was a total joy! Jonathan's pre shoot communications were excellent, well thought out and well explained so I knew what to expect ahead of time.

During the shoot itself he was polite and professional. He was so good at making sure I was okay throughout the shoot, encouraging me to take breaks to rehydrate. The back of camera shots looked amazing and the edits I received shortly after were lovely.

Another fantastic shoot with Jonathan, it went really well. I am happy I have an opportunity to shoot with Jonathan remotely as it’s always such a fun and it’s only way I can shoot with Jonathan giving the distance between Chicago and London.

Pre-communication was on spot as always and Jonathan let me know what outfits preferences he has and he also discussed the details of our shoot with a studio owner so we were all ready to shoot.

As always we had plenty of laughter, fun and creative enthusiasm and Jonathan was giving me some great directions so photos look just amazing.

Jonathan is always professional, respectful and dedicated to what he loves photographer and I am happy to be a part of his art.

I had the pleasure of working on a remote shoot with Jonathan for the first time at Team Black’s house and I thoroughly enjoyed it. He was very professional, respectful and friendly. Pre-communications were excellent beforehand too and I knew the styles/levels we would be shooting. We managed to fit in many different looks in the time we had and Jonathan gave me excellent direction but also allowed me to give some input and ideas too. We hosted Jonathan remotely for his remote shoot with Hattie Grace and from start to finish he was polite, professional and friendly.

His pre shoot communications were excellent, well thought out and planned well. This meant he was able to execute his ideas well.

Jonathan was clear with his instruction throughout the shoot, directing me as he wanted in order to achieve the images he wanted to. The back of laptop shots looked amazing and the edits I've seen so far are beautiful.

My first time working on a remote shoot with Jonathan and first time at PGD Studios. I enjoyed our shoot I think we worked well together to achieve some great shots.

I really like Jonathan style he captured me in my best light and I would happily work with him again. We got through a lot of sets in the 2 hour booking and utilized the space, making most of the time we had.

Jonathan was easy to work with and he clearly knows what he is doing with lighting with a vision of what he wants to capture which is refreshing.

I am very happy with my second remote shoot with Jonathan, we had a lot of laughter and fun again. I recently had my first remote shoot with Jonathan after many months of trying to fix a date! It was totally worth the wait, Jonathan had great ideas and knew what he wanted to get with our time together and wow did we get some beautiful shots.

It still amazes me how we are able to have a completely collaborative experience shooting with hundreds of miles between us. The pre-communications were fab, Jonathan sent a set list and description of what he wanted before the shoot and he directed me in poses and how he wanted to use the movement of the light in my studio.

I would happily recommend Jonathan to other models and am looking forward to working with him again!

Jonathan booked me for a remote shoot at PGD Photography Studios, as he is in the US and I am in the UK.

Pre-communications were spot on, Jonathan knew exactly what kind of style he wanted beforehand so the shoot flowed great. He gave great direction when he wanted a specific image, and made use of all the lighting.

He was very friendly to chat too, and the shoot was an enjoyable experience :)

I worked with Jonathan through the 21st century magic that is remote shooting and zoom and what a truly lovely shoot it was! It had been a while since I had been back to the US, so it was lovely to talk and work with a cousin from across the pond! :)

Jonathan was absolutely lovely and charming to talk to, gave fantastic direction, was patient, professional in his approach, very respectful and kind.

I had a great first shoot with Jonathan. The pre shoot coms with Jonathan was great and therefore both really organised for our remote shoot.

Jonathan was relaxed, polite and very professional. We had a good laugh and bounced off many different ideas.

It was great to learn more about America and great to shoot overseas, being able to have the option to work with Jonathan.

I enjoyed yet another fabulous remote shoot with Jonathan this year when he jumped in with interest to my Valentines themed week I did at my own studio space in Yorkshire. So with the click of a mouse - he popped over from Chicago and we enjoyed a super prolific couple of hours producing gorgeously themed images with a seasonal twist! 😊 The best thing about this shoot was that we got blessed with utterly stunning golden sunshine - I was particularly happy for Jonathan when this happened because we had chatted several times about hoping to achieve this remotely, but of course in Yorkshire we just cannot guarantee what the weather will do! So we did very well for an average day in February, and achieved some truly spectacular images which bellowed emotion, sculpting and mood. We also used controlled lighting for some of the sets - it was a doubly productive shoot in all honesty... But yay for the sun! 😃

As usual - Jonathan was his upbeat and chatty self (very easy to have a good giggle with as you enjoy a very pleasant rapport). He appreciates that the models take on double their workload when working remotely so he is laid back and understanding on this - really giving so much effort to contribute as much as possible with communicating direction and working with the models to build the shots up. It's just great that we can do this when you think about it, but I think Jonathan is a perfect example of a photographer who grasps the concept with both hands and really pushes the maximum potential out of it for aiming to achieve shots of his taste. The fact that we do not stop talking when we work as well just goes to show that you can still gel and have a jolly ole time as you shoot - even when there are 1000 of miles between you! 😄

He is someone I have always had completely positive shooting experiences with from the start til' the end of the process: his communications are routinely good, he emits a very professional and respectful demeanour when he is working with you and the shoot is taking place - I know it's different to an *in-person* shoot but you can still sense a vibe from a shoot. This vibe when working with Jonathan has always been a good one is all I can say. 🌟 Nothing but highly positive experiences!

I always look forward to when we may get the chance to work together again, I sure it won't be too long so watch this space!

I felt instantly comfortable working with him and felt like we made a connection albeit miles apart.

We tried a mixture between conventional shots and things outside of the box and it was a real creative couple of hours.

This was my second remote shoot with the lovely Jonathan! :D He basically inspired me to look at taking my remote gear with me on tours to enable access to cool venues for photographers further afield with whom I’d connected with during the remote extravaganza of the pandemic... What a genius! :) Jonathan actually contacted me off the back of another casting (local based) when I had some studio availability - he suggested a remote booking (which I wasn’t set up for at the time) so what we did instead was pre-planned this date and had another creatively-charged two hours working together whilst oceans were between us! The magic of remote!

Great communications meant that we had shoot number two planned and sorted in no time at all! Jonathan was also very flexible with his availability which helped me greatly in the further planning of my tour (since I wasn’t at home this time, hence it was a little more hectic for me).

As per: Jonathan was highly enthusiastic and heavily involved in what he was wanting to capture on the day. He’s very confident when it comes to communicating with the model/coming up with ideas... The biggest problem is not having enough time haha, it flew so quickly - just like our first shoot! The space in which we worked this time had gallons of natural light (anyone who has shot with Jonathan will know he lovessssss his natural light! 😛) and I mean there was floods of it! From all directions! This enabled us to shoot a range of things from statuesque shapes, bodyscapes and also floaty/dance-like movements with material. As I say; the biggest problem is the time going so quick as one idea always leads to another, which leads to another with Jonathan. He really does get in the zone. :) His artist background also shines through in the way he notices the light on the models and within the environment - big credit for this!

He’s a sweet person, very chatty and easy to strike a sociable and positive rapport with. I would gladly work with him again, and can certainly pass my recommendation on to other models who may be in discussions with him about a shoot!
