I have been fortunate to work with John several times and have to say that on each shoot, he is the total professional.

This shoot was on a gorgeous beach and we worked through the different outfits required for magazine publication.

John really knows his camera lens, and the resulting images were super.

He delivers edits on time too. His communication is excellent.

The Impregnable Nate Stone

We have been trying to shoot for months, but bad weather had forced us to postpone previous location shoots. Communication has always been good and patience paid off. We met up at Saltram House, on time, and proceeded to shoot several lifestyle shots at a number of spots around the NT grounds in fabulous conditions which have culminated in some excellent final product. John is easy to work with, professional and I would definitely do so again.

Have wanted to shoot with John for ages but weather and man flu kept getting in the way! John always endeavoured to keep in touch and let us know that he was really keen to work with myself and my partner. Finally got a glorious evening at Saltram with John and his lovely wife Karen, where we took a great set of lifestyle shoots in the fading light. Focussing on couoles and portraits we both found John easy to work with,with a keen idea of what he wanted as well as being open to input from both myself and my partner The Impregnable Nate Stone. Would highly recommend John, he’s a real gentleman and we love the shots that have come from the shoot.

Met up with John to basically set up a shot that's difficult to pull off on your own, we had Wallflower as our model, and did a series of shots pooling our ideas for some lovely shots, John's excellent to work with, well recommended, hopefully we'll get to work together again in the future

Had my second shoot with John today, it was a shared shoot.

I had a great time achiving quality images on the moors. John was professional and easy to get on with, one quality of which is rare is every set of images he would show me what we are achiving, allowing me to troubleshoot and problems to get the perfect shot. I love how john is super thorough with his images and not just trigger happy. John insures quality in evrey image whilst shooting. Thanks john for a fun productive shoot, Im looking forward to working with you again.

I had a shoot with John yesterday. Pre meet comms were excellent. He was there before me and had researched suitable locations. Very friendly and gives good direction. Only my 2nd shoot but John made me feel relaxed. Professional and honest. Love the photos he took and would definitely do another shoot with him. Highly recommended.

He's a really lovely, genuine guy with some great ideas.

All I can say was it was such a pleasure working qith john we hadnt met previous but immediately he made me feel at ease and comfortable .hes a very nice man and true gentleman asked if I was happy and comfortable. Which was so nive he made me feel.beautiful and respected me . Working with John was absolutely mesmerising. He had a camera with a circular flash and certainly enabled me to throw some poses by being fully relaxed and flexible with his angles.

I shot with John today at Mr Dave's. John arrived early, came with all his kit and knew what he wanted to do. We got to shoot in the garden because the weather has been lovely. its been a long year since me n Mr Downes Started Speaking After i Started Modeling and a year later and after his travels we finally shot together at My first studio Day At Mr Dave's stunning Location... and what can i say John Is genuine Polite and beyond creative.... had a great morning combining our creativity sooo we both got what we wanted to do spite not being able to plan before head due to INTERNET issues i couldn't of asked for more...and most defo would highly recommend him.... Thank you for Today Mr Downes..... and for being my first booking on my first studio day :) forever graceful xx..

John came to my place to shoot with AnnaRose who was staying here. He had already discussed what he wanted so it all set up by the time he arrived. It was fascinating to see how he worked with Anna to capture some absolutely stunning poses. It was a great shoot and I gained a lot from seeing them work together, just wish I had been able to do it..
