Shadow of Salem

I had seen Paul's work due to an acquaintance of mine and was intrigued in finding whether I could get a shoot booked, Paul was apt in responding and provided great answers to all questions I had as it was my first ever photoshoot.

We set a time and date which worked for both and chose to shoot in Durham City due to the gorgeous structures there which were extremely suitable for the vibe and theme I was intending the shoot to be. I learned a lot from Paul including a few things to work on for the future. Paul also introduced me to PurplePort and how to get started into modelling. The shoot managed to be done actually sooner than we expected but it was not rushed and we managed to get just over 900 photos which was incredible.

After the shoot we sat down in a café where Paul even got a coffee for me and we went through the photos on his laptop and see which ones I liked the most and listened to the ideas for what I had imagined the photo to be edited as. Paul gave me the photos straight away on a USB and airdropped me one that he had just edited based on my feedback. Afterwards we parted ways and by the end of the day Paul had sent me all the photos he had edited, both by fb messenger and email.

Overall, it was well worth the money and the time and Paul is a great photographer as well as a lovely person.

Had a great shoot with Paul the other day! We did a location based shoot and so he collected me from the train station with a cuppa coffee and took me to some really pretty locations around Durham to shoot in! Immediately he made me feel comfortable, and I had a really fun shoot. He really loves to make sure the model is kept happy and healthy with breaks for coffee or a bite to eat where needed which is really lovely! The pictures are super cute and it’s fun that he plays around with the editing in different styles to get a variety of different vibes! Loved shooting with Paul and would totally recommend him! ☺️

"I had a photoshoot with Paul last Wednesday. It was such a fantastic experience. We met in Durham city for the shoot. He has a depth of knowledge, and I loved the way he works and the way he explained the whole photography process to me. He was so supportive throughout the shoot, and I learned a lot from him. He is a true gentleman. I received a number of edited pictures on the same day as our shoot. He gives preference to models to choose the level of editing for their pictures. Had a lovely time shooting with Paul!

Sitting down and having a coffee to talk and break the ice really helped me get more comfortable and set the day for the shoot.

Was smiling and laughing and enjoying the shoot even tho it was pretty chilly. He captured some amazing shots, and found some lovely places in Durham. I’d never done an outdoor shoot before so it was a new experience for me, one which I enjoyed.

His speed with editing the shots was super quick and the finish of them are amazing!

Can’t wait for more shoots with Paul. I just know that the next one will be even better :)

I did a shoot with Paul last month,

He is so lovely and very passionate about his work

He is rapid with edits, I saw what he was capable of doing with edits in the time of an outfit change.

He had great ideas and really worked with my strengths ensuring I got the shots I wanted, and figuring out my best angles in natural lighting as well as with a light.

He is such a friendly guy, so fun to shoot with, let me play my music which is always a bonus! He made sure throughout the whole shoot that I was okay and happy with the outcome of shots- which I absolutely was! He even helped with creating some reels for my instagram page!

This was my first shoot with Paul, hopefully the first of many! Communication was great before the shoot & during. Its been a while since I've done a shoot and Paul was very helpful and made me feel comfortable enough getting back into it. Lovely man and very respectful.

Had a great first shoot with Paul today in Durham.

The shoot was last minute, only organised the day before as he had last minute availability but the pre comms were excellent.

We went for a drink first to break the ice and Paul was really easy to chat to and very friendly.

After the shoot he was able to show me the photographs straight away on his iPad over another drink. The photos I’ve seen so far are excellent and I can’t wait to get the rest of the edits back.

Paul offered and took the time to look through my portfolio and offered some great constructive criticism on how to improve my work in the future, which was very helpful since I am fairly new to this.

Highly recommended and I hope we can work together again in the future.

Absolutely amazing shoot with Paul today, this was the second time shooting together and it's always great fun. Paul is a lovely photographer who always makes you feel relaxed and has a good eye for shots.

Also he was so kind as to give me Instax prints of some of the images and showed me straight away!

Highly recommend him and hope I can shoot with him again in the near future. Thanks again :)

I had my second shoot with Paul today, our first on location and it went fantastic! Preshoot comms were excellent and Paul arrived at our chosen location on time and ready to start our shoot.

We opted for a spring/summer theme for this shoot and Paul captured some amazing images!

Paul is so easy to chat to as well as a very talented photographer and kindly treat me to a drink after our shoot where he also let me preview the images too.

Around an hour after the shoot, Paul forwarded me a tearsheet with the unedited photos, and not long after that had already edited quite a lot of them and sent them to me. They are incredible! I'm so happy with them!

I would 100% recommend Paul to other models and look forward to shooting again with him in the future 😁

Paul is a fantastic photographer and very easy to shoot with. I had my first shoot with him at Oak Photo at one the Creative Crew events and had an amazing day. I knew instantly I was going to get some great photos back. Paul sent over the tearsheet after our shoot and kindly let me select my favourites for him to edit. The final images are absolutely outstanding and one has already been published in Prestige Magazine. I highly recommend Paul to other models and look forward to working with him again in future.

We met through PP and being new to all of this is was initially quite nervous travelling and doing something completely different to my usual style of modelling. This was my first time being the sole focus of the camera and I can honestly say Jobe couldn't have been more settling. He has a gentle and non intimidating approach. He knows exactly how to calm any nerves, direct you without pressure or agitation and ultimately capture the best of what you have to offer. This is obviously a natural talent of his, and to those starting out, wanting to gain confidence, or adding to their portfolio, he's the guy to go to. I would recommend him to anyone without any hesitation at all, I will be returning!

I first contacted Paul when he was looking to do a shoot with a friend of his. From the get go, Paul was brill with communication and had some great ideas for our shoot.

I was lucky enough to get in touch with Paul to arrange my first ever shoot through PP.

We had a good wander around the stunning cathedral area of Durham with him calling the shoots and giving tremendous direction all along.

He easily calmed any nerves that I might have initially had and was very happy to share his knowledge and expertise to produce (in my humble opinion) some great work.

Paul answered every question me and my dad had to ask him and gave me plenty of information on modelling and what he does, and was so lovely about it. He made me feel extremely comfortable and we got on really well, I will 100%be going back to him for any shoot ideas I think of!

He's an amazing photographer who always puts 110% effort I to making his models feel comfortable in front of the camera, always gives helpful advice and suggestions should you need it, and seems to ALWAYS bring out absolute best in everyone he works with.

And to top it off he's just such a genuine, lovely bloke to be around. Nothing I can fault him on.

If you're thinking of messaging him and asking for a collab - stop thinking and just do it, you'll not regret it 😎

My 2nd time shooting with Paul and it was just as great as the first, if not better!

Fantastic communication when booking and planning the shoot, I had some ideas and Paul was very helpful with making them come to life with picking the perfect locations. Super friendly, great person and made me feel very comfortable and definitely fun to shoot with!

The weather wasn’t ideal making a couple spots a little darker than planned but he was still able to make it work and I love the images we were able to capture!

Will definitely be happy to work with him again!
