Hello, my name is Jenis (jenz). I've been loving photography since I was 12 years old. The last 12 years I've been focusing on my talent/passion of outdoor portraits & landscapes, I shoot with a Hasselblad 50MP medium format camera.
Now I want to shoot film, the greatest thing about my camera is it can do BOTH perfectly.
I like to tell stories, create characters, and portray emotions through them. While my passion lies in directing films, I also enjoy pursuing photography. In the act of narration, there is lesser exposition in photography, and more scope for abstractness and subtext, compared to film. And that's one of the challenges that I relish while working as a photographer, to express art with one frame, instead of 24 of them.
I've lived in Las Vegas NV off & on for 11years, then Europe for 4 years, then moved to Salt Lake City/ Ogden Utah area for 2 years, now living in Seattle/Mukilteo Washington area. Currently attend the Art Institute for photography.
