Jake responded to a message from me in which I described a project I was working on; he said he liked the idea and kindly agreed to model for me while I was in Manchester last May. He was communicative and professional in the lead up to the shoot, turned up with the clothing and props I'd asked him to bring and modelled patiently while I worked experimentally with ambient light. Jake brought emotive expression into play in subtly varying ways throughout the session, reflecting the fact that he understood the kinds of moods and concepts that I was looking for and gave me his own spin on things, including a bout of acoustic guitar improvisation.

I'm grateful for Jake's input and professionalism, and would recommend him to other photographers.
