First time working with Jay today and I've got to say how great everything was. Jay was very welcoming and showed me around everywhere before we started. He had kindly arranged a lovely fashion designer/director (not on here) to collaborate with outfits and jewellery. They both gave me precise detailed instructions on how they wanted me to pose to get the best image possible, showing off what I was wearing. They gave me some beneficial advice to take away and I can't wait to see the finished images, as what I saw off the back of the camera they are going to look amazing!!! I will definitely be going back to shoot at some point and highly recommend.

Had such a great shoot with Jay, I enjoyed every minute of it! Jay made me feel comfortable from the moment I got there and put me at ease throughout the whole shoot. He has such a vast amount of photography knowledge which meant that we got some great quality photos. I learnt so much from my shoot with Jay, from posing advice to general photoshoot advice. I would definitely recommend him to all models, whether you’re a beginner or experienced.

Had an amazing shoot yesterday with the absolute genius that is Jay! We’ve had several shoots together over the years at Jay’s studio, and for good reason - he is one of the best in the field (both photography and retouching!). He is the person who taught me how to pose in the early days of my modelling career, and I’ve never forgotten the advice! An amazing creative eye and we always have a good laugh. The results from the shoot are also fantastic.

I 100% recommend Jay and hope we can shoot again in the near future (let’s not leave it 6 years again next time!!)

Wow!!! I have just had the pleasure of working with Jay and Lia and I am honestly in awe, they are absolutely amazing people with such bubbly and friendly personalities, full of ideas and plenty of tricks up their sleeve.

Jay met me and my partner at the door with a warm welcome and lots of energy, straight off the bat made us feel comfortable and relaxed. They were both so professional and efficient, everything was set up and ready and Lia had a few items ready that she wanted me to model.

I could go on all day about the shoot we've just had, but all I really want to say is a massive thank you for having me!!!

I would absolutely recommend Jay and Lia to everyone and anyone, 1000000%!!

Had a wonderful shoot at Idolmhamine studios yesterday. Great communication from start to finish. I arrived at the studio and was made to feel welcome. I felt instantly relaxed and comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the shoot. The images looked fantastic too! Would highly recommend!

Had my first shoot in the studio with Jay and Lia Thursday and it was great.

They made me feel comfortable immediately and they were great people to work with. They knew what shots they were looking for and hopefully got them all! The shots seen were amazing, they both have real talent.

They’re really creative and work magic when retouching!

I had a workshop with Jay at Idollphamine studios today, based on product shots.

No surprise that I had a great day and learned a lot, as I have worked with Jay before.

The format of the day was layed out for us, and we were taught everything we needed from lighting technics to shoot angles and even photoshop methods, to make the best of our images.

I really enjoyed the day and it was ace value, so I would very highly recommend any future workshops at Idollphamine studios with Jay.

I booked a studio shoot with Jay and Lia to learn how to shoot commercial products and to create the space to do so in your own home studio. Jay and Lia were wonderful to work with. They answered any questions that I had and even allowed me to bring my own props. It was a very low stress environment full of feedback and useful suggestions. I highly recommend that you work with these two.

Booked a successful spontaneous shoot included props, outfits, studio and accessories. Great communication pre-shoot. Punctual, friendly and approachable. Easy to work with in the studio due to experience. Comfortable working environment. Music available on set. Caring personality. Respectful to my personal space and physical body. Great creative ideas for example poses, lightning, angles, shadows, leaf blower (inside joke) and camera work. Continuous infectious enthusiasm and positive attitude during the shoot. Originally aimed to do no more than a 4 hour session but ended up doing 5 hours plus due to endless artists contributions. Images started to get processed within 12 hours, so fast turnaround time. Be prepared to be entertained by interesting industry stories, and showered with compliments if you work hard.

Jay and Lia are delightful and ooze talent. They are wonderful communicators, happy to answer any question and were always feeding back with useful suggestions, tips and ideas from start to finish of the shoot. Lia did the make-up for this shoot for which I am exceptionally grateful. I'm very excited to see the images and would work with them both again at the drop of a hat. Highly recommended.

I had a shoot earlier today with Jay and Lia @ Idollphamine studio.

HUGE THANKS!!! to Jay for sorting out the lighting etc. I had a great time and know when I get to go through the pics they will be a new benchmark for me. Jay is full of knowlege and is not afraid to share. I have picked up loads of tips from him, and can't wait to try stuff out!

I attended a studio workshop run by Idollphamine in Leeds a few months ago with a group of photographers. It was such a success that I returned for a session with Idollphamine and his resident model Ila Maria yesterday. That was an even greater success.

Idollpahamine is a multitalented person. Like all studio managers he can set up the lighting. He knows the trade inside out and can make best use of a range of lighting types and facilities, down to placing individual lights to highlight specific areas. For professional and semi-professional photography, it would be hard to beat him.

However, Idollphamine’s talents don’t end there. He’s a skilled teacher. He didn’t just set up the lighting for me; he explained exactly what he was doing and why he was doing it. In real life Idollphamine has extensive experience of collage teaching which very much increases the value he brings to a shoot with an amateur photographer like me.

Idolphamine is also a very skilled Photoshop expert. I haven’t worked with him in this area, but I have seen his work and it is so good that you can often recognize that the post-processing was done by him. During the shoot he offered quite a bit of Photoshop advice.

I thoroughly recommend working with Idollphamine at his studio. Indeed, I could not imagine how he could be improved upon; as well as all his professional advantages, he’s an exceptionally pleasant person, easy to work with, and (best of all) makes you feel welcome.

I had an amazing shoot with idollphamine in Leeds today!

The communication before the shoot was simply ideal and all details were discussed. He picked me up from the train station, drove me to the studio and maintained conversation so we got on very well and kept conversation going throughout the shoot. He is very friendly, considerate, welcoming and made me feel very relaxed. I had a great time and a lot of fun.

The studio he has is a lovely, clean and modern space, with everything you could need. Perfectly equipped.

Jay has lots of ideas, he's enthusiastic about creating quality images and was chatty and pleasant company. Very professional and organised too!

I was also very happy he let me see the photos throughout the shoot as it is very good for models to see them in order to spot if something could be done a little bit better regarding positions etc.

I totally recommend him to everyone and I hope we will have an opportunity to do a shoot in the future again!

Had the great pleasure of attending a studio day yesterday with Jay up at his fantastic space in Leeds. I do quite a bit of studio stuff but this was my first group shoot. Jay had done an amazing job before myself and the other 2 photographers even got there. The day was planned extremely well and Jay and model Lia made the whole thing a lot of fun. He'd planned out 4 different latex costumes and set up some great environments / lighting. Jay is a total maestro, his time spent in different studio settings with video / TV work shows through in everything he does. Both he and Lia have amazing attention to detail and they are dedicated to ensuring that every shot is a keeper. I can't recommend Jay or the studio highly enough. If you want to see how to use lights and create something special in camera then Jay is the go-to guy. If you're planning on shooting something for a composite or just want to see how it's done, this is the place to be.

I can't wait to see you guys again soon.

I had my first studio session today with Idollphamine and Lia who was modelling for him. This was a group session with two other (experienced) photographers and me who had never been in a studio before and didn’t know what to expect.

I arrived early and Idollphamine explained everything to me and put me at ease before the others arrived. He we able to deal with three different people simultaneously, attending to each and neglecting none. He provided the experienced photographers with space to push themselves further, and the inexperienced photographer (i.e., moi) he gently led by setting things up and then letting me experiment.

During the session he demonstrated a range of scenarios, lighting effects and props. From the classic white board background to a seedy New York alley scene with trashcans and moody dark lighting.

Idollphamine has a remarkable range of talents spanning many areas of photography; he’s not just a photographer (and studio manager), but also a talented Photoshop artist – I saw his work.

On top of all that, he was very easy to get on with. Had my first experience in a studio been miserable and embarrassing, I might have given up and gone back to my usual work. Now that I’ve met Idolphamine, I’m encouraged to continue.

I would certainly recommend him, his studio and his model, Lia, without any reservations. In particular, if you are just beginning, like me, and are apprehensive about studio work, then Idollphamine is the one to point you in the right direction.
