References for HallamMill (Truedefinition)

Did a group shoot at Hallam Mill for the first time and had a great time. Jim was excellent in the pre shoot communications, and very helpful on the evening, offering drinks and giving me a quick tour of this extensive studio.

The three models Jim organised were also great, these being Katie, Rachel and Jules. The other photographers at the club night were also helpful and friendly, and quickly helped me pick up the rules of group shooting.

I hope to be back there for another great shoot very soon.

I did a group shoot here for the club night this evening with two other models. Jim is incredibly helpful, bringing cold water on demand! - and the props collection is fantastic, and with the beautiful natural light in the summer evening, it's simply a great studio. Look forward to working at Hallam Mill again.

What a place - I'm sure you've all seen the windows in many shots here on PP, and check out Jim's Studio facebook page for some shots of the evening light streaming in. The floors, walls, the masses of props - the space! It's a real photographer's playground. Jim is fantastic - extremely helpful, conjuring items we asked for out of the corners of the studio. I'll definitely be back at Hallam Mill as soon as I can.

I have work at Hallam Mill several types. Very large space to shoot in. Also have a dressing room area for models. Large variety of props to work with.

Had a couple of shoots at Hallam Mill now and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as a great location. It does exactly what it says on the tin, a great old mill with lovely textured floors and walls and gorgeous natural light as well as having a couple of more traditional studio areas with a wide variety of lights, modifiers and backdrops. Jim's always friendly and helpful either letting you just get on with it or happy to assist. Kettle's always on as well which is another bonus.

Had a whole day at True Definition Studios at Hallam Mill. Great space, wonderful light and just soo any different ways of creating images!! Although I didnt use them he has a great range of lights and modifiers. If you havent been here put it on your bucketlist!

Run by Jim, a great guy, very helpful and makes a great cuppa.

I had a great shoot up at Hallam Mill on Saturday - actually turned into two shoots in one day, so I got to spend a lot of time there. The studio itself is a great facility with excellent natural light options, studio lighting setup and a vast array of props.

Jim was on-hand to help with lighting setups throughout the shoot and was very helpful and friendly.

I would highly recommend this studio to anyone - I just wish I lived closer to it!

Hallam Mill is a fantastic studio, plenty of space to play around with and the amount of window light in studio one is a real advantage. Plenty of backdrops, lighting and props to work with. Gets a little chilly in the winter but Jim was on hand with his industrial heating units! His music taste is pretty good too! Recommended...

Had the pleasure of shooting at Hallam Mill Studio yesterday. What a studio. I was like a little boy in a toy shop. So much space, loads, and I mean loads of props. and so much natural light to play with. James was on hand to help with ideas, lights and moving things in place. All in all a great experience. I'm definitely going to travel back up there from London, there is lots more I want to do there.

My first shoot at Hallam Mill,and what a great studio,really has everything,and the size is amazing,numerous props. Jim was brilliant and had heaters set up for me. Would recommend this studio to everyone,and hope I get to work there again :)

I've shot at Hallam Mill so many times I've lost count, I love it . The studios well equipped and blessed with loads of natural light. Tonnes of props etc, excellent changing area for models is perfect. Rapidly becoming home from home ,...... Oh and Jim is always on hand to help out .... Highly recommended

indecisive moment

I had my first shoot at Hallam Mill a couple of days, and I was highly impressed with it.

The studio itself offers so many options as a photographer. The wonderful natural light with the mill setting is superb. In addition, the availability of lighting and backgrounds, as well as numerous items of furniture and props, allow you to create many different styles of image within one shoot.

Jim is a great guy, and I appreciated his help on a couple of occasions. I look forward to working in the studio in the future.

Had a model slot day at Hallam Mill studio today. Jim is a lovely guy, looked after me all day and the studio is amazing.

It was really inspiring with all the different textures and props for me to pose with and not to forget the space! Brilliant studio it get's my highest recommendation. Can't wait to come back. Thanks Jim x

GREAT STUDIO. I loved working there on my studio day- fab location, awesome natural light too. I can't wait to go back!

Jim looked after me too with his delicious coffee and made sure I was warm enough all day. He was also on hand to help the photographers with lighting. Highly recommended!! :)
