This 19th century market building was founded with money from the Earl of Iveagh, then CEO of the nearby Guinness brewery. It has been closed for a long time. Its interior is derelict and in unsafe condition. There have been plans to restore the building but nothing has happened yet.
The photo was taken with a 24 mm tilt- and shift lens. Together with the boarded-up windows on the first floor this gives the picture a bit of a surreal, stilted efffect.
