The famous Glienicke Bruecke at Potsdam near Berlin. During the cold war spies were exchanged here between East and West. One of them was Gary Powers, the pilot of an American U-2 spy plane shot down on a clandestine photo mission over the Soviet Union in 1960. The bridge features in a number of spy novels and films.
