I'm really really glad we managed to cross paths and get the opportunity to meet and work together. Straight away the conversation began to flow easily and there was never a dull or awkward moment. I felt totally at ease and you were completely professional throughout.

I really enjoyed my first shoot with Ian recently during my third studio weekend hosted at Joel Hicks Photographic.

We had an amazing shoot and the time passed so quickly, our conversation flowed and we had a nice relaxed session doing a mixture of glamour, artistic, nude and erotic with some absolutely beautiful images produced together in the cabin with some updated items Joel has recently added in there including an old piano, a lovely chair, mirror and some beautiful cabinets and dresser so with all this new stuff to work with it was a joy and we ventured outdoors around the garden for the last half an hour which I am so glad we did as we got some cracking images.

Ian was on time, full of energy and ideas plus he had loads of props, he had some specific ideas which I loved and we had already discussed before hand in pre shoot communications. Ian was wonderful at giving direction, a complete gentleman, respectful and constantly making sure I was warm enough and happy.

A very professional, polite and friendly person and an amazing photographer.

I highly recommend Ian, do not miss an opportunity to work with a lovely person and fantastic photographer. I really enjoyed the company and we achieved some amazing captures. Such a pleasure.

Had my second shoot with Ian on another of my Joel Hicks studio days. Really enjoyed working together again. As always pre shoot preparations are were spot on and it felt that we picked up where we left off from the last shoot. Ian always has loads of ideas and we had fun putting them into practice. Ian was very creative! He came fully prepared with books full of ideas for our shoot! We shot loads! Ian’s ideas were pretty awesome and pictures looked fantastic on the back of camera! I can’t wait to see edits now!

I had the pleasure of working with Ian at my JHP studio day on Saturday.

Pre communication was excellent, Ian knew exactly what images he wanted us to create, what outfits for me to bring etc, which is always a huge help when packing for a studio day.

From the go, Ian was super friendly and chatty, very easy to get on with and a blast to work with. Ian’s really creative with his ideas and judging what I saw on the back of the camera, we got some awesome shots.

I'm so glad I finally got to shoot with Ian at my studio day at Joel Hicks Photographic. He has a lovely range of imagery in his portfolio and I was looking forward to putting our own ideas together. Pre communications was spot on, and I instantly found ian very easy to get along with. Our time working together went by quickly, but in that time we sure enough as expected succeeded in creating so many beautiful images. I found Ian very easy to get along with, and I found him to be very respectful and polite. We have already arranged to shoot again at Joel's next month, and have our ideas lined up already. I look forward to creating some more superb images with Ian again in 3 weeks.

Ian booked me for a 3 hour shoot at my Joel Hicks Photographic studio day.

His pre comms were excellent and I knew exactly what I needed to pack months before the shoot, what kind of style he wanted to go for and which photographers he was inspired by.

This meant I could be fully prepared for our shoot and we could get straight to it.

Ian was friendly and chatty, showing me the images as we progressed throughout the shoot so I could do little tweaks to a pose to really refine it.

He also brought some really cool hats and camera props which were great for the images and made for a really fun shoot.

Yet another fantastic photo shoot with the ever creative and enthused Ian! :D Since we first worked together it has been so lovely to see the rapport get better and the bounce become more automatic... it's always the case when you can work together as a team to create foundation ideas you've talked about before. That's the wonderful thing about Ian, he will find inspiration and put his hand to lots of styles/environments; this time around we did some more truly stunning work out and about on location at Joel Hicks Photographic and the images looked absolutely stunning! Even better in edit. :) Whilst in the studio, Ian is totally conscious of getting the light looking as nice as it can be under the controlled conditions. He will take on challenges of different techniques to inject mood and feel into the shots with a superb eye for detail working very hard to get it right in camera. I can appreciate his eye for detail so much and it's this approach that get's you nice results. There has been no shortage of those for sure when we have worked together! :)

I've always found it a breath of fresh air to communicate with Ian when getting shoots planned/organised. He will get back to emails promptly, even though I may be running around like a headless chicken at the time! But I cannot stress how much hep that is to a model when you are wanting to pack for tours and do all those check-list things. He's such a down-to-earth gent and shooting with him is totally stress free and then fun and laid back on the day too. :) Yes it's always a giggle for sure! The other fun part is how creatively random the ideas can be that come to mind when we are shooting, we can be trying out something we had planned to do on the day but then something else starts to work so we go off on a tangent and still get corkers in the bag! :P

I recommend Ian very highly indeed. He turns up to a photo shoot with so much positivity and upbeat-spirit, has perfect respectful etiquette and a big heart. The time goes quick every time and it's a blast time and time again. Models, you will sure enjoy working with Ian. :)
