Had a really nice experience working with Fade To Grey! He is super friendly and professional photographer. We had loads of fun shooting together! He likes to think about details, and music was always on, different kind of music for different kind of character styles, that was definitely super refreshing and allowed me (model) to get into characters super easy and gave a really good vibe and fun for the shoot!

Worked with John for the first time the other day after he responded to a last minute casting call I put up the night before. We worked at the Coach House and due to it being pretty last minute we decided to just go with the flow and John had some cool ideas he wanted to try out anyway which ended up being really good fun. I love the way he works, it's very relaxed and he got me doing things like ballet poses, spinning around on a chair, walking around the chair and popping a balloon to help get some natural expressions - which I think is a great idea and some of it I don't normally do on a shoot so was not only good fun but also different! :D

We also worked on an idea he had in mind and added some cool effects to it as well, it was all great fun and we had a good laugh throughout. I can't wait to see the photos and I look forward to working with him more in the future.

John is a fantastic lovely man, he gives great direction and most of all is wonderfully easy to chat to.

We had a wonderful day out at the abbeys with a few outfit changes, coffees and lunch. He is willing to work through any weather and easy to be yourself around.

I will remember him as a great photographer to work with, laughing, talking & creating memories in the form of wild hair and billowing dresses!

So, as a photographer, John surely knows what he's doing. He's a nice mix between organized and spontaneous with good directing skills, nice car and a creative eye making the most out of even most basic settings. The shoot went smoothly with a good dash of goofy behaviour intertwined with more serious talk. If you're attentive, you'll learn some things about life from John.

What I like the most is that after the shoot, we sat down in front of his laptop, went through all the shots and marked my favourite takes. Looking forward to seeing the end result. However he requires Scottish jokes from foreigners so beware and prepare, folks.

I collaborated with John on Saturday and was glad that I did. He was extremely helpful even before the shoot!! Responding to emails fast and with all little details explained! The shoot was at the Coach House studio equipped with props, various lights and backdrops.

John is really professional in his approach, he has some amazing lighting ideas, is also very creative with plenty of ideas and is always offering to give a great advice on getting the best images. I have already received all the images from Dropbox and also few retouched image for my portfolio and they all look great. Can’t wait to see the rest.

I would definitely recommend John and look forward to working with him again.

He helped me with my poses and told me to do what I feel inside but not what people tell me and he is right!

Had a lovely shoot with john recently at the coach house studios, my friend wanted to join because she is interested in becoming a model, john was very informing and gave her tips and advice for future.

Great at getting us relaxed and comfortable, was a really nice evening shot, can't wait to see the images.

I had a shoot with John yesterday at the Coach House Studio in Farningham, and he was very friendly and professional. We had great communication beforehand - he sent out a shoot plan so that we'd be well-prepared, and he had plenty of creative ideas. The shoot was great fun, we tried many different styles and the hours flew by! I'd definitely recommend him :)

It was my first shoot (hopefully out of many!) with John yesterday and I'm very happy that I applied for the casting. I was given lots of direction as well as professional advice on how to take my modelling further. I was unsure if I'd be able to do some of the themes he had planned but by the time we got to them I felt completely confident and able to do anything. Would recommend him to anyone, especially models that are starting out and may be a bit nervous.

I had my first shoot with John today after he applied to a casting I put up to create some dark and dramatic images. John was great to work with, full of ideas! And was chatty throughout the shoot. He made sure the lighting was perfect and is very passionate about what he does.

Well...where do I start! John is a fantastic photographer! I am thoroughly impressed. At the beginning of the shoot we sat down with the model and had an in depth discussion about what we all wanted from the shoot. I then set off on the models makeup where john was extremely patient and began setting up the studio. Once the makeup was complete he got a few test shots to ensure we were all happy with how the pictures were coming out. He worked fantastically with Lauren the model for the shoot, suggesting poses and making her feel comfortable. He was happy for me to step in and do any makeup touch ups where necessary which was also great. I received the pictures very quickly and they all look absolutely fantastic! Working with John was a pleasure.

Loved my shoot with john today. He made me feel very comfortable and I didn't feel pressured at all with expectations. Very relaxed shoot with drinks and personal changing room. Has great ideas and had them written out beforehand with a 10 minute conversation pre-shoot discussing them in detail to enable a greater understanding of the shots wanted. Would definitely recommend and hope to shoot again! :) Harley x

I really enjoyed my shoot with John! Our shooting styles complemented very well, and he has a lot of effective techniques for bringing out the best expressions and perfecting an image. Not only did he arrange a fantastic venue, but he went to great lengths to make sure I was comfortable, happy and well-fed throughout the day.

John is a genuine, friendly and considerate photographer. We shot on location for three hours....managed to befriend a dog and slip in the mud! We had a good chat along our way, and shot at regular intervals. He bought coffee to keep warm and was full of ideas. Thank you for a great shoot. Look forward to shooting again, Maya x
