Many thanks to John for attending a vintage group shoot event that I hosted with Retro Rob at Rawpics Studio.

We covered three different sets and looks in 3 hours, based on the theme of Fred & Ginger, and John worked well with the concepts and other photographers.

Retro Rob

What a fun shoot I had with John at Raw Pics Studio on the long awaited return tour of Retro Rob and Melany this time creating images of the icon Fred and Ginger and Scenes from the Greatest Showman.

John came well prepared with ideas to add to the shoot and from what I could see really enhanced the images John has a great sense of humour which added to the day I look forward to seeing the final images and working with him again soon.

I met john at a lingerie workshop at f8 studios last night, what a delightful man he is :) he made me feel very comfortable throughout the shoot, he has a good keen eye for detail, knows what he wants within photographs and isn’t afraid to guide you to a better position/pose. Seems very talented. Lovely man! Would love to work together again x

Artemis Fauna

Just last night I hosted yet another Secret Garden event- this time with Elle Beth and Jessica Taylor. We were all blessed, yet again with good weather and the images looked amazing!

I first worked with John just under two years ago on another one of my events so it was nice to work with him again (on something very different!)

John took some lovely images and worked with the photographer he was paired with well.

I can't wait to see the images go up! :)

John joined us for the Dunes and Beaches trip to France, organized by the Natural Light Spaces and it was a pleasure to have him on board.

He was very good at giving directions, making sure to get the perfect image and I can tell he's clearly passionate about photography. Great at communication during the shoot.

John was friendly and polite and would happily work with him again.

John booked on to the beaches and dunes trip organised by Natural Light Spaces this month and it was a great chance to work together!

The first evening we got to shooting right away in the most beautiful setting and it was then I got to see John in action. Clear communicator and certainly knows what he's after in terms of 'the shot'. I really like Johns approach and outlook to what he is looking to capture, he let me flow and be myself in terms of conveying emotion and attitude...loved that!

And wow, the images...they speak for themselves!!! Epic!!

In terms of Character, John is very easy to get on with and has great sense of humour which means I could tell my bad jokes and a tumbleweed goes by!!

I would happily work with John (well we are again soon!) and recommend to all!

Alastair Currill Photography and Studio

This was John's second group shoot with us and once again John was clear giving direction to our model Rose Anne and captured a range of great images, He was happy to try out his own ideas to the group. John also brought his own equipment for his camera using warm gels. We look forward to seeing John again too.

I had a shoot with John the weekend just gone at his home studio which is based in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside; a beautiful house with a stunning garden to match. John and Cherry were extremely friendly and welcoming. They made me feel completely at ease. Prior to the shoot, John provided a shoot plan which was so helpful. I knew exactly how he wanted me to look, as well as what outfits I should bring for the shoot. It really helped me to be organised and fully prepared for the shoot. During the shoot, John knew exactly what he wanted to achieve and was very enthusiastic and great fun to work with. I had a dressing room to change in and John and Cherry provided refreshments throughout. Fortunately it turned out to be a lovely day, so the shoot plan changed a little and we ended up shooting outside, making the most of the sunshine.

All-in-all, I had a very enjoyable and successful shoot with John. I would highly recommend him and I would be more than happy to work with him again.

First time I met John was during a group shoot with Tiger Lily in the rapeseed fields on Saturday. John was on time and took part within the group holding reflectors to assist other photographers as well as shooting himself. He gave clear direction to the model. I worked with John recently at my studio day at Saracen House. We only had an hour but John had sent me some ideas of what he wanted to achieve beforehand so I feel that we got loads done in the short time. John was friendly and polite and I would be happy to work with him again.

John came along to shoot me at a lighting workshop at NLS recently, working alongside a group of 5 others. John and I have shot together before a couple of times so I already knew he's a star :) We did a really wide range of styles from fashion to art nude and aerial hoop too on the workshop, I was knackered haha but everyone was lovely and I had enough time to recover between sets :) Happy to recommend John once again, hope we can shoot together again soon!

Wow, well where do I start.

John was a very welcoming man with a lovely home.

You could tell John had years of experience because of the way he spoke to me and also helped me get the best out of my shoot.

Capturing lots of different angles, scenario's and lots of great topics of conversation. Cherry His wife was also very welcoming and professional. If you ever get the chance to work with this very professional and great man do not hesitate.

John it was a pleasure and I look forward to shooting with you in the not too distant future.

Miss Rosie Lea

I met and worked with John for the first time earlier this week when he booked a slot at my most recent model workshop at Far Forest Studio.

John's communications before the shoot were great and he made sure to check in with me a few days before the workshop so we were both on the same page.

At the shoot itself John was funny, kind and a lot of fun to work with. We hit it off straight away and I was laughing pretty much constantly between shots (and on some shots if truth be told haha)

Johns communication during the shoot was also great and he directed me for specific shots he had in mind with respect and kindness. He also showed me the back of cam images throughout which is always so helpful.

John's images were really lovely and he's been kind enough to share some with me which I'm really grateful for, that 'profile' image in particular is stunning John! :)

Thanks for such a lovely shoot and I hope to work with you again in the future :D

Far Forest Studio

We were pleased to welcome John to our studio today for his first visit and we hope it won't be his last.

He joined us on one of our group shoots and he was an absolute pleasure to have here.

Pre shoot communication was excellent and he arrived ahead of time and well prepared for the day.

He was great company throughout and showed an excellent level of competency as well as respecting the model and the others in the group. He has already shown some results from the shoot which look as good as they did back of camera.

He was great to chat to and generally all you could wish for in a visitor.

Highly recommended to any studio or model.

Artemis Fauna

John booked onto my Film Noir event with DarrenS that I hosted just last night in Malmesbury.

Johns communication was great on the lead up the shoot. He arrived first and, like all the others, really got into the theme of the night.

Night time shooting has it's challenges (focus, high ISO etc) but everyone got some absolutely outstanding images and I am over the moon with the results! Can't wait to see some more images go up on PP :)

I worked with John yesterday on a film noir shoot, in-which i was working alongside Artemis Fauna, in the streets of Malsbury.

John was getting very creative with the shoot, especially with detective shots in the apartment, using lighting from different sources.

John is great to work with and i look forward to seeing the results :-)

I had the absolute pleasure of working with John on an event myself and Chris Conway hosted at the stunning Kings Western house.

John was a great asset to the team, he listened to Chris as his tutor and put it into action and worked well within a group setting. He treated me as his model with total respect and was very appreciative. He knew exactly what he wanted to achieve from each set and was great at giving that touch of direction to make sure he got the shot he was after. I would highly recommend John to anyone and would happily work with him again at any point in the future

John was the first photographer on my studio day, and boy did he set high standards for the rest of my day! He knew exactly what he was going for Before the shoot, his pre comms were absolutely brilliant. He's a very easy guy to get on with with no hesitation when starting a conversation. He good at direction from behind the camera and he gets your full potential out when you're in front of the camera. Had a image only a few days after our photo shoot, and I love the image he's come out with.

The Old Chapel Studio - CLOSED

Its lovely to see John at the studio again, as before he was very well organised, communications again were fantastic and John arrived in good time for his slot.
