My photography journey began when I decided to visit an old Asylum that was being demolished. I wanted to document the Asylum before it was gone forever and I thought what better way to do this than in pictures.

Since visiting the abandoned asylum I have been lucky enough to visit many other abandoned locations not just in the UK but also in France, Belgium & Luxembourg. Here are a few links to some of the locations I have visited, they are grouped by country. UK, France, Belgium & Luxembourg.

Club Photography
I have been a member of my local Photographic Society Poulton-Le-Fylde PS since 2014. I joined the club in the intermediate bracket and in my first year I managed to win the trophy for the 2014/15 intermediate colour class.

The following club year 2015/16 I was moved into the advanced section of the club which has proved to be a much harder challenge, however, in the 2016/17 year I managed to win the advanced colour class and in the 2017/2018 season I managed to retain the advanced colour class trophy.

National Salons
In the latter part of 2015 I started to enter the National BPE exhibitions. Below is my progress so far.

April 2016 - I was awarded my BPE1* Crown award.
May 2017 - I was awarded my BPE2* Crown award.

I am currently working towards gaining my BPE3* Crown award. I have also been awarded 2 Highly Commended Awards, 2 Certificate of Merits and a Selectors Award for my work in the BPE Salons.

The plan going forward - Continue learning and build up my portrait portfolio.
