Booked the location for 6 hours, first time working there, and wow what a fabulous house. So many rooms, places to shoot, and styled wonderfully. Tracey and Martin were very welcoming.

Loved the location and highly recommend, definitely will be booking again.

Had an awesome first shoot at this amazing venue. I was stunned at the amount of space, number of rooms available and the natural light options. What a fabulous day spent here with a wonderful host.

I've visited South House a few times now but it never disappoints. I'd been wanting to do a Christmas themed shoot there so was happy when Tracey and Martin could accommodate myself with another photographer and 2 models. The house looked stunning and even though Tracey and Martin have a hectic schedule they are always so friendly and chatty. I'll definitely be returning next year.

Hi guys, you don’t know me from Adam, but I had the opportunity to work with Melany and Rob, on Saturday, on a group photoshoot. Not sure if I’m supposed to leave a reference, but I’m going to do it anyway. Your residence is fantastic, thank you so much for “lending” it to Melany and Rob for the weekend. It has and had incredible potential for sets. It’s very nearly a two hour haul for me, but oh, was it worth it. Your hosts did you proud, and your home is.... well it is, your home, warm and welcoming. Relaxing and homely, I can understand why someone would wish to stay with you. Anyway, I think I may well be returning at some point either as a guest or indeed, for another photoshoot. Not sure what else to add, just keep doing what your doing, it works.

South House is by far one of my favourite places to shoot. This time I was hosting a vintage duo event with the fantastic Retro Rob. South House offered the perfect backdrop for our evening-wear looks and the story lines we were creating. It has stunning natural light, plenty of historic features and picturesque grounds.

Thank you so much to Tracy and Martin for letting us shoot in your amazing home. I can't wait to come back to this unique and photogenic venue xx

What an absolutely beautiful Estate and what an honour it was to have had the chance to shoot at this stunning location.

This was another Retro Rob and Melany Tour date and to have the chance to work on location added some truly gorgeous images that I can't wait to load.

Our group shoot was a total success and I look forward to working at this awesome venue again thank you so much Tracey and Mark for welcoming me to your home .

This was my first visit to South house with a shoot with Russ b. We were welcomed by Tracy and Mark and I felt comfortable right away. Their home/b&b/studio is absolutely beautiful with lots of different rooms all decorated to a high standard. A model and photographers dream. They made us a lovely lunch and joined us with great conversation. Thank you so much for having us! Highly recommended!

The opportunity of a second shoot at South House Retreat, once again made to feel very welcome by Tracy and Martin,a welcome cup of coffee on arrival and a chance to benefit from their lovely house,superb rooms all with natural light and lovely decor.

This was my first visit to this amazing location during my most recent tour where I worked here with KP Photography and Melany.

What a fantastic place to shoot in. Despite the day being quite overcast, the natural light inside was still beautiful!

There is so much to use photographically, many beautiful features.

I was so pleased to be hosting an art nude workshop at SHR. It is a stunning venue with plenty of natural light and a range of settings that are perfect for art nude photography. It is a very special place and I hope to be back here very soon. Thank you Tracey and Martin. Highly recommended :)

The house is beautiful, massive and immaculate. Tracy really cares about model welfare and is an absolute delight.

My second time shooting at South House and it gets better every time. Tracy and Martin are really welcoming and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The house was immaculate and it was reassuring to see Tracy putting the model’s welfare above everything else.

There are so many options in the house it’s staggering. Huge rooms with lots of natural light, smaller spaces with diffusion drapes on the windows, a wallpapered wall that is perfect as a studio light backdrop and loads of different rooms, all with their own unique flavour.

I would highly recommend South House to models and photographers alike. Superb location, lovely proprietors, fantastic results.

I had such a wonderful half day shoot at this stunning venue recently, with photographer "GarryJ". It was my very first visit to this venue and I was very excited as I have such a love for period properties! :)

I was completely taken aback by how gorgeous it was, it was like stepping back in time.

It is such a beautiful family home and absolutely perfect for photography. Tracey and Martin have created such a beautiful space and there is such a wide scope for creativity. A half day at this property simply wasn't enough- I will definately be back! :)

My Sat Nav bought me very close to the home and parking was a breeze. The owners are very welcoming and hospitable, with plenty of refreshments offered! Martin was also super kind to sort out a flat tyre which I wads so grateful for!

I have spent two days shooting at this amazing place this week.

On my arrival Tracy and Martin greeted me with a big friendly smile and they showed the place around.

They have recommended a lot of different locations at the house and around the garden. They were a huge help with everything during my stay.

I could not have asked for better hosts, and the place has such a big variety of different locations, rooms, props, etc. there was still a lot of things I would have loved to try, but maybe next time :)

Also, the home cooked meals are absolutely amazing.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a unique place to shoot from with great hosts!

I cannot recommend South House Retreat enough! I shot there with Somersetman and Eye For Beauty back in the summer, and the venue is beautiful! SO many shooting opportunities, I think I could easily shoot there for an entire month and still not get bored!

The hosts of South House are wonderful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble, the lunch we had was beautiful.

It's an incredible venue - very highly recommended

Had a group shoot at South House today, probably my 5th time to the retreat?? And, as always, Tracy and Martin never disappoint!! The pictures speak for themselves, but, the house is absolutely gorgeous!! So many opportunites for some really gorgeous photography!

This time was a little different however … This time we had lunch!! Why did I not request this option sooner!! The food was incredible!! Absolutely delicious!!

I really look forward to shooting at South House and would really happily return there!! :D

I was lucky enough to be welcomed yet again by Tracy and Martin to their fabulous house. It's always an absolute please to shoot (and to eat!) there, and this was no exception. Lots of new decor this time - the house is always evolving with styles from classic to quirky, and always with photography in mind.

This time I shot with an SHR-regular, and with someone who'd never been there before... it was lovely to re-live the gleeful pleasure of discovering room after room through her eyes :-)

Amazing location. Perfect hosts. Highly recommended.

I always look forward to visiting South House Retreat and shooting there. The many rooms have varied decor and are usually all available for use without restriction and have good natural lighting. The garden areas have many settings for use, some being quite secluded. The hosts, Tracy and Martin, are always welcoming and ready to help in any way they can. Additionally, if required, good home-made food can be ordered and enjoyed.
