South House Retreat

Built in the 1800's this house has an air of grandeur. Photographers and models have use of up to six bedrooms, drawing room, master lounge, dining room, large kitchen, grand hallway and staircase, art studio, cellars as well as three bathrooms and boudoir dressing room. The house is in a very quiet secluded spot near Dorchester, surrounded by large grounds, including a walled garden with a river. There is also a hot tub. 

The house is tastefully furnished and decorated with a mixture of traditional and modern furnishings and colours, quite an eclectic mix. There are many original features, shuttered windows, open fireplaces, servants staircases and attic rooms. Two of the south facing rooms have large bays..These include the master bedroom suite and main lounge. There is a main staircase as well as two narrow servants staircases.

From April 2018 their will be the opportunity to shoot in the Victorian stable block and loose boxes, these include original wooden carved partitions, flint walls, cobbled flooring and corrugated iron wall.

We offer unique large spacious rooms with excellent light, traditional features in abundance, lovely outdoor settings and industrial style shoot space, what more could you need to create a perfect location different to any other. 

OUR CALENDAR IS NOT ALWAYS UP TO DATE, SOMETIMES IF THE WHOLE HOUSE IS NOT AVAILABLE SOME OF THE MORE POPULAR ROOMS AND OUTSIDE SPACE IS. IT IS ALWAYS WORTH MESSAGING US FOR LAST MINUTE AVAILABILITY AS WELL AS FUTURE BOOKINGS.

House only £15 per hour or £100 per day up to 8 hours

Stables only £15 per hour or £100 per day up to 8 hours

House and gardens £20 per hour or £120 per day up to 8 hours

House ,garden and stables £25 per hour or £150 per day up to 8 hours

We can offer  fantastic home made meals and overnight accommodation.
