References for Studio Lavalette

I was delighted when I was asked to Model for one of Studio Lavalettes workshops over in France, Don and Trisha are wonderful hosts and took care of me as soon as I arrived. Each day is very well thought out with locations and styling, each one of the locations being beautiful, unique and a wonder to model at.

I cant thank Don and Trish enough for their wonderful hospitality, food and welcoming me in to their home.

I hope to work at Studio Lavelette again in the future

An Eye for Beauty

I have just returned from an art nude workshop/holiday at this lovely studio and delightful part of France. Don and Trisha were brilliant hosts, and the luxury of the rooms and amazing food was worthwhile apart from the photography. But then we had some great shoots both in an around the historic buildings which make up their home and studio, and also a rustic dwelling and an an amazing chateau, where Lulu modeled to perfection. My fellow photographers - all ladies - were frequent participants (recommendation in itself) and who knows I might return again. Highly recommended.

I've just got back from a modelling on an art nude workshop for Don that was immense from start to finish.

The whole weekend was successful, the locations Don has scouted for the photographers paired with his beautiful home for the remaining shooting time all worked perfectly :)

Don and his wife Trish were so welcoming and made me feel so at relaxed and like it was a home away from home. They are fantastic hosts and really go the extra mile to make everyones stay enjoyable. The food was absolutely incredible, from the little nibbles over the tea breaks, the lunches and the 3 course evening meals all paired with a fitting wine - just amazing and not a service I have ever experienced on another workshop in my entire career!

I cannot recommend the workshops enough, you really won't find better :)

Don has done an amazing job with the workshops he has out in France. The locations, house, all amazing and very well organised. Food, to die for!!

Don certainly knows what he is doing, friendly and very helpful, if you are someone like me and learning.

I will certainly be going back ... if they'll have me that is!! 😜

Ivory Flame

I modelled for one of Don's art nude workshops at wonderful Studio Lavalette in France, October 2013 (and have previously worked with him many times in England too).

The whole weekend was a real treat, it felt a perfect balance of productivity and relaxation. I got to model in a variety of photogenic locations near the house, nearby rocks, old stables and mansion, around the narrow streets and textured doorways of Lavalette village, as well as inside the studio. Tuition and help to the photographer's was attentive and helpful, working flexibly around everyone's needs and levels of experience.

The hospitality was excellent, the rooms were very comfortable, there was a pool to swim, and the food prepared for us daily was so impressive - delicious 3 course meals, wine, wonderful biscuits accompanying coffee and tea. Both Don and Trish were such charming, fun, lovely hosts, and made it all feel effortlessly enjoyable for everyone there. They didn't just create a great photographic opportunity but also a lovely, memorable atmosphere.

It was such a pleasure to be part of and I can certainly recommend you get yourself to Studio Lavalette! Treat yourself and book on! :-)

I went on Studio Lavalette's art nude workshop/holiday at the weekend. A most inspiring area of France to work on location in particular, although studio work was also covered. Myself and the other photographers attending were given some intensive tuition, both in taking photos and processing them. All created from the home and studio of the charming hosts, but remaining fun and relaxed. We were taken to some unique to the area places and provided with beautiful accommodation and delicious food. Our every need was catered for and Studio Lavalette comes highly recommended.
