One of the goalies for the UK Warbirds Ice Hockey team based in Cambridge. The recreational team draws players from both civilian and military backgrounds; the latter from the nearby US Air Force bases at Mildenhall and Lakenheath.
Strobist info: this shot was set up rinkside before their regular weekly practice session. It was lit with three Nikon SB-80X speedlights: main light was in a 45cm collapsible beauty dish high camera right, and two rim lights (one gridded and one with a snoot) to the left and right at about 45 degrees behind the subject.
