Tryst

Had my third shoot with David, out of what is becoming an awesome, supportive, illustrious creative collaboration. We did 5hrs shooting at my home with 1hr tfp. Once again, David brought an entire prop house with him. He is a dedicated collector of material props and lighting gear. I will probably limit him in the future on what he brings, just so we can spend less time setting up and more time shooting! But I must say the first few impressions of watching him rig elaborate lighting setups was impressive. I am honored with work with such a dedicated creative, and he has helped me achieve photos I’ve wanted for many years! Working with David is a true honor and privilege and any model he selects should feel very fortunate to have been chosen. Looking forward to all our future work and to getting results posted from our last shoot.

Tryst

My second shoot with the ever masterful David. He has become a friend and has boldly endeavoured to follow my health blog, and book me despite my recent health issues. In the month since we met, we’ve spent almost every day chatting and making creative plans for our shoot, which finally materialised two days ago when he booked an overnight stay at my home. Not only was it the most extensive planning process I’d been part of for a shoot, with daily messages detailing what he’d like to buy for props and do with editing, but our execution was also successful. He showed up to my home with a carful of supplies to contribute to our photoshoot but also for me to keep as a prop kit for all our shoots in the future. He stopped at some beautiful market shops and contributed to ingredients for us to drink and dine on. His gifting was extremely personalised and thoughtful, he pays extreme attention to detail and makes his friends feel truly considered and seen!! I felt spoiled when he brought out some nonalcoholic beverages for us both (I don’t drink.)

Now for the shoot. Essentially we decided to building some art installations inside my home. Together we spent 2hrs or so hanging book pages in my living room. We peacefully coexisted and put together these sets, and it was one of the most blissful Saturday nights I have ever had. David has a way of going with the flow and embracing my ideas while also contributing his decades of photographic expertise. He brings and entire film studios worth of pro lighting and gear and knows how to rig and use it masterfully.

We pulled off just over half of the final ideas we had, which was pretty good considering we had a huge list! There were definitely ideas left that we didn’t get to, that we will need to do during our next shoot.

I have already seen and am in awe of our results. I’ve waited my entire creative life to find a collaboration like this, and can’t wait to develop final results and dazzle the world with them!!

Tryst

My first of hopefully many shoots with David, he worked with me in a rented Airbnb between Christmas and New Years in Glasgow. We had a beautiful location and 3 hours to create images, with a combination of natural light and nightfall. David was communicative in the planning stages, which I could not reciprocate being so busy - but it was wonderful to see him being very clear about his inspiration for the shoot, and sending me names of photographers and examples of their work for us to consider. I got the feeling that he had been selective in choosing to work with me - despite his wonderful portfolio, he hadn’t worked with a model in a while so i felt very honored to have been booked.

Shooting with David is to be taken on a visual journey. The way he experiments and then gets very into each idea is a wonderful artistic experience. His ideas were each unique, things I haven't’ shot before, and I felt comfortable to experiment in my posing as a result, giving bold and emotive looks I only save for true artists haha. He also was caught in the crossfires of a nasty altercation with my airbnb host, and ended up being an amazing and much needed ally by defending me.

He has released several shots already, all of them bespoke in selection and editing. I am so excited to continue collaborating with David in the future, and to see more shots come out from our first collab.
