I had a pleasure of shooting with John today. We were planning this shoot for a long period of time and it went really great. Pre-communication was on spot, John is a very well-organised and easy-going photographer who has a great photography vision. John suggested to shoot at his house, which is very spacious, and gave us a lot of opportunities to shoot both indoors and in a beautiful garden outdoors. John treated me really well and made sure I feel good and warm. John as giving me some great directions and photos looked great straight out of the camera.

First shoot with John and I really enjoyed it!!

Pre communication with John was consistent and open. We talked about availability, outfits and studio to shoot. John informed what he wanted and sent me suggestions and directions to the studio.

On the day, I was pleasantly surprised how lovely and gentlemanly John was.. such a kind person! The shoot itself went so quickly and we had a break too.

I really enjoyed the day and I’m looking forward to working with John again..

Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

It was a pleasure to welcome John back to Basford Hurst Cottage!! This time he came to shoot with Cariad Celis for the afternoon.

John is just wonderful, he's easy to talk to, friendly, fun and full of inspiration and ideas. And, despite getting an absolute soaking due to the great British weather, that far from dampened his spirits!!

John worked well with Cariad throughout their shoot together, ensuring she was comfortable and respected at all times. He also made sure to respect our location, something which we are always grateful for!!

We would absolutely recommend John and would have no hesitation welcoming him back to Basford very soon! Thank you John!!

I don't know what to say about John that hasn't been said before. What an absolutely lovely man and a wonderful photographer to boot. It had been so many years since our last shoot together but I feel as if we picked right up where we left off. Our time together flew by despite getting caught out in the rain and getting soaked to the skin! Poor John had to spend the rest of the day in sodden clothing. He took it all in his stride and never failed to keep a smile on his face. I think we did some fantastic work together. The images are beautiful and I really hope we don't leave it another five years before we meet again. A pleasure from start to finish, John comes highly recommended by myself.

I had the pleasure of having my first shoot with John during my studio day at Image Red. Firstly Johns pre communication was top notch, he insured everything was discussed and he shared his ideas so I knew exactly what was needed and what to expect on the day. I really admired some of Johns creative ideas and from his port you can see he's a talented photographer so I was really looking forward to trying something a bit different. As a person John is a very sweet, respectful, humble being, the shoot was pretty relaxed and we worked our way though as many sets as we'd hoped for, we'd mixed up a few different styles and his ideas kept things interesting. John was happy for me to free pose as well as give direction and suggestions for best results. He's now shared images for me to select and I'm much looking forwarding to the final results and being able to share them. I'd highly recommend John and would certainly wish to work with him again in the future :) Thank you John!!

John contacted me asking about a shoot at Basford Hurst Cottage. Of course, I jumped at the opportunity!! You only have to see his incredible images to see why!! 😁

Precoms with John were great. He arrived on time and even with some ham and cheese sandwiches for us both for lunch!! Talk about a treat!!!

John is a complete professional and clearly a very experienced photographer. We worked through a number of sets including portraiture and fashion.

We also collaborated on some ideas for images for his camera club competitions. I really hope we aced the criteria!!!

I am very excited to see the images and I would definitely recommend John!! Thank you!!! 😁

I AM SO SORRY THIS REFERENCE IS LATE!!!!! But this is no reflection of my opinion of the shoot.

Shooting for just over half a day at Image Red and the time flew by. We had some specific shots we needed to nail and then got a little creative. We made full use of the studio and grounds outside where possible.

It was very easy to arrange the shoot with you. The conversation and plans were clear and precise.

During the shoot you were friendly, funny, genuine, kind and chatty. While remaining completely professional at all times.

I would work with you again without hesitation and I don't have a negative thing to say :)

With thanks to Brian from Image Red for putting John and myself I contact with one another, we had out first and fantastic shoot together at Image Red (of course) a few days ago! John wanted the focus to be on dance, but we also got through a couple of other fantastic sets including portraiture and painting with light (something I’ve not been a part of in a long while!). We got a great variety of images even with the dance sets alone, thanks to the use of the contrasting white curve and black set. John has a true passion for photography and his attitude towards capturing the perfect shot (including with dance movement and jumps, which we know require a lot of patience with timing etc) can’t be faulted. It was a pleasure working with John and was also great to have Brian on hand for an extra collaborative mind 😊 the 3 of worked so well together and I had a fantastic day. Thank you John and I hope to work with you again in the future!

I had the lovely pleasure of working with John today. His pre comms were detailed to specific ideas he had, some things I didn’t have available but we moved around it.

On arrival I was greeted with a lovely smile and we discussed a little plan. We had a few technical difficulties but again we were able to work around it and still get some beautiful shots.

John is a gentlemen, patient and lovely to talk to. I felt I could relax quite easily too. I would happily recommend John to any model of any level.

Pre coms were incredibly detailed and I knew exactly what to bring along with me.

I was prepared for an interesting shoot from our plans and it was so much fun working to turn John's ideas into reality.

John, Brian (Image Red Studio) and I worked hard to put together some really specific ideas - I loved the challenge and creativity involved! The images looked really cool on back of camera!

John was very good company to be around and easy to work with. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would love to work together again.

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with John and his wife, Ann, for the first time a couple of days ago when they booked me for a photoshoot at Daniel’s Mill in Bridgnorth.

John’s pre-comms were very thorough and professional which allowed me to plan for the shoot and arrive with a clear idea of the brief.

Both John and Ann are lovely and warm, and I felt comfortable with them from the moment we met. They were so kind, and also considerate of my comfort throughout the shoot. All in all, they are wonderful company, and the four hours I spent with them truly flew by.

John and Ann were also kind enough to show me back of camera images as we shot which gave me a good idea of what we were capturing. They’re clearly both very talented photographers. John has kindly sent me his unedited images, with the offer to edit my favourites, and they are beautiful… I’m spoilt for choice.

I’d recommend John and Ann to other models without hesitation, and I hope our paths cross again in the future. Thanks so much, both, for such a lovely shoot 😊

I worked with John for a second time at Image Red studios. John's pre-shoot comms are thorough so you know exactly what the plan is and what to bring to the shoot. The shoot itself flew by and we tried a variety of different styles and ideas. From what I saw on the back of the camera; some good images were achieved. John worked with me to seek my input in what would create the best image. He was professional at all times and respected my personal space. I would recommend John to others and hope to work with him again soon.

I had my first (and hopefully not last) wonderful shoot with the equally wonderful John last week at my home. From the first messages, John was friendly, kind, polite and very obviously passionate about photography, and that all showed through as soon as he walked through the door.

We shot for 4 hours in various locations around my home and John was kind enough to show me the images off the back of the camera throughout the shoot which was helpful.

John was so much fun, I felt completely comfortable around him, we had some great laughs, and I can’t wait to shoot with John again. He is so talented and passionate, with a very creative eye and lots of imagination and a great sense of humour - what more could you want!

First shoot with John and it was such good fun. Precomms were attentive to detail, and on the day we began with a hot drink and spoke about the plan. We created some fab images which I cannot wait to see!

The shoot itself was a chilled yet productive pace (jumping and aerial is tiring!) and the both of us were left happy with the day's outcome. John is happy to suggest ideas as well as be directed which worked out really well (for when either of us were not sure what to shoot next)

Would be more than happy to shoot again with John!

It was my First time working with JohnCB. I messaged him as i was coming on tour to the area and we agreed to do a shoot. Went to image red studio in Tamworth near Birmingham. We had spoke previously about outfits and things, we shot some beautiful images near a canal near to the studio and some funky fashion back in the studio. It was lots of fun and i have to say thanks to John for bringing me a sandwich, I really appreciated that. I would recommend him for sure and would love to work with him again.
