Ok, I lie. I’m none of these things. However, I have had plenty of work published in magazines across the world and a few FPIs, but generally I’m just a regular guy who loves taking photos! I’m inspired to photograph people and enjoy the mix of creativity and technology that photography requires. I do this for fun,so…:

• I do test and collaborate
• I won’t talk down to you and don’t have an ego
• I will give you as much tea as is required before we ever start shooting to get to know you
• I will give you all edited shots within a reasonable timeframe (2-3 weeks, often much sooner) unless they are sent off for publication and, most of all…
• I will guarantee you’ll have a fun, relaxed shoot if we work together.

I do get a lot of requests to shoot both here and through social media (around 30-40 a week), so I unfortunately have to say no to most. :( The sort of models I look to work with are: agency-standard (whatever that means), a professional attitude, capable of replying to messages within 24-48 hours, as expressive with their face as they are their bodies, generally (exceptions welcome) work to at least implied levels, fun/don’t take themselves too seriously and have positive PP references or a good social media presence. That all said, I’m always up for someone or something different, challenging and out of the ordinary – so don’t let my constraints or expectations put you off contacting me. I will always at least reply to a polite request to shoot.

Please don’t send unsolicited requests for me to pay you/“copy-pasted” messages that you’re in my area. You will be blocked.

To get the grumpy stuff out of the way:

• WTWW: Please don't add me to your WTWW list because you want to prompt me to mail you so you can quote your rates — that's disingenuous. Equally, I use my WTWW lists to keep track of amazing models: by all means contact me and quote your rates, but please don't be upset if I reply that it'd be collab only.
• Chaperones: I prefer to work without chaperones, as it is one less distraction to worry about and I have many positive references, all of whom I’m happy you contacting at your discretion. However, I appreciate a model’s need for security, so this isn’t a deal-breaker but please talk to me about it beforehand.
• Expenses: many models shoot so often they need their expenses paid. Similarly, I shoot so often I can’t pay all expenses for all models. Again though, always talk to me beforehand if this will be a requirement. However, if we book a shoot weeks in advance and you message me 24 hours beforehand saying you have to cancel if I can’t pay for the expenses, that’ll result in a shoot cancellation and a negative reference.
• Cancellations: if you need to cancel, please tell me as soon as you find out. Most cancellations are perfectly reasonable, and I’ll be more than happy to rearrange – particularly weekday evening shoots. If you cancel a weekend shoot at short notice without a good reason, I’m afraid I won’t reschedule. I’ve been burnt too many times, so I take a fairly strict stance on this – sorry!
