He is friendly and has good humour and suddenly it became normal and comfortable to pose for a voice coning out my mobile phone :) David was also great at communication, prompt paying and understanding of circumstantial delays. David and I have been in contact for potentially working together for what seems like forever! We actually spoke years ago too about potentially shooting in person when I was touring Scotland - alas dates never matched up. But then with the awesome era of remote shooting providing us with the perfect opportunity to nail a shoot once and for all - we got there finally! :D

David’s communications were clear and concise from the start - he communicated very well in terms of what he was looking to create and ensuring that levels were all above board etc. He sent me examples of his work across the genres so I had a clear idea of his portfolio and recent work he’d done remotely with other models. Once we got the date in the diary; all the admin and everything went very smoothly from David sorting the payment well in advance to us bouncing ideas around. I felt that this enabled us to be very well prepped for the day of the shoot. :)

Once we got in the flow of shooting - time went by fast indeed! Even though I had lights on standby just in case; we managed to get by using just natural and ambient light creating some really beautiful photos. David definitely has a good eye and sensitivity for adjusting the settings and technicalities as per the lighting in the room to make the winning shot happen. Everything from bodyscape style nudes, simple soft portraits, story-telling boudoir and further narrative looks on my attic stairs! (We got that one in before I painted them like the rainbow haha!) David was very happy for me to throw suggestions and input his way, but he also had a very clear idea of what he wanted to capture and gave very useful creative feedback as and when he wanted things shifting for the view he wanted to get in the pictures. I just know that when I came to do the transfer - there were a LOT of pictures from a productive 2 hours. And furthermore: a lot of keepers within that batch. :) Yes we did well!

I found David to be polite, easy-going, respectful of my levels and chirpy/upbeat. We got it off right away virtually chatting about everything from accents to personal creative pursuits. This rapport continued throughout the shoot til the end so I can certainly confirm that our session had a positive vibe. :) As such - I would be very happy to recommend David from my remote shooting experience with him.

Hopefully we can do it again in the future, or (who knows!) shoot in person one day!

What a delight he was to work with, very friendly, a lot of banter! I really enjoyed my morning shoot with him and the images came out fabulous! Definitely using a different lens for our next shoot though!

what if we fly

I have worked with David on numerous occasions as a life model both privately 1:1 and in group sessions. He is hugely supportive and respectful.

We did try a remote photoshoot and David took a lot of time to research suitable software and possible ways of achieving what he was after. He has incredibly high standards, and is very fastidious so aims to do his best, despite limitations of covid/lockdown.

I have happily recommended him to other life models
