Photographed last Wednesday (14.12.22) in Jokulsarlon Lagoon, Iceland, these 2 icebergs show history of the past, with the strata of ash lines bearing witness to eruptions over the centuries. They calved off the glacier above, into the tidal lagoon, waiting for time and some thaw to allow them to escape to open water and melt.
